Beautiful rooftop restaurant with amazing food. Prices were great too; about $12cdn for amazing lobster dish. Must try, great little find
here is where i ate the best food during my vacation. Our waiter made me the best mojito i had and he was very nice to us.
Santiago is not a huge city in terms of population, so I didn't expect there to be a lot of choices in terms of paladars, happily I was mistaken. When we first pulled up to this place, it was tough to decide if we wanted to eat here. The streets are not well marked and the paladar first looked like... More
This was the best paladar we found in Santiago de Cuba. It's a bit outside of the city centre, but well worth the short walk/taxi drive. If there's a lot of guests the service might be a bit slow, but the food is good and the views from the roof terrace are great! Good value for money!
this is the older paladar in santiago, 15 years, is true that they have and excellent view but the service is extra SLOW.1 hour to wait for 1 pizza and spaghetti. they have a lot of tables and is like the kitchen is too lite for all the costumer, i prefer to go to a restaurant that is 40 meters... Salon Tropical is a nice location , a littte far from the center. Food was good, but they changed my order for a bottle of wine and charged the double price for a different bottle without notification to me. So take care and confirm your order twice !
This place is an atmospheric alternative for an intimate dinner on the upstairs patio. It is one of a very small number of places worth recommending. They like to take reservations. The food is good, but not quite up to international gourmet standards, probably due to lack of available spices+ ingredients. It found the chicken to be nicely prepared, but... More
While our meal didn't stand out, it was one of our best in Santiago: it is really hard to find here something in the standards of Havana's paladares. I had a good pork with tamales, but my husband felt his choice was too heavy. It is a charming place with views and quirky decor, on the top of a house,... More
I had read some nice reviews about this paladar, however, when we visited it was a dissapointment: the shrimps of the cocktail were frozen! (overloaded with sauce). The chicken was more bone than meat. Nice to have the experience of a paladar, it was not expensive, however, I rather pay double for good food than this. Better go to ZinZin.
