The mojito is not so great, but the atmosphere is. A band is performing live in a place 5 square meters big, and a crowd is always waiting in a long line to get their drink. A must see.

Mojitos are $5 and the best we have ever had. There is live entertainment. The food is great but the servers did not speak much English so we had to muddle through. You are invited to sign the wall. Like most Cuban restaurants you need to ask for the bill when you are ready to go. Also don't wait for... More

Neat place. Very busy, but we managed to find ourselves a couple seats after we ordered our drinks. Pretty cool to watch the bartenders do their thing in a place with history like that. We didn't eat there, so can't comment on the food. Most expensive mojito we had in Cuba at 5 CUC each, but definitely worth it.

We visited one evening and it is small and quanit with the walls covered in signatures and writing - however the more modern up to date ones obscure the old historical ones. We were disappointed with the service and food - we expected traditional cuban food but it didn't deliver on taste or looks. Cost was reasonable.

it is a cool place to go and eat. The walls a lone are worth the visit. the food is great v especially the shredded beef. We were very rushed by the wait staff which soured the whole experience a bit. still worth going though.

The bar is always crowded due to the connection with Ernest Hemmingway. Glasses upstairs line the bar with mint ready for the moijtos! It's a querky bar that you should visit to see all the writing on the walls. Food reasonable and cheap so a good all rounder staff are kept going all the time. The bar is set over... More

A very busy place: lots of tourists. To get the atmosphere you must sit somewhere - the only place is inside, inside the restaurant. Food not really excellent and expensive in Cuban terms, but nice to hear the Cuban music band.

This place is said to be the birthplace of the Mojito. Therefore it is totally overcrowded and overpriced. Go somewhere else!

Absolutely packed, couldn't get in... even during the day. The front walls are adorned with the names and signatures of visitors from around the world. Is yours there?
