This is a must visit place in Havanna and they make wonderful daiquiris here. Only very few bars make so good daiquiris as they do in Floridita. They add much more sugar and they keep it enough long in the mixer. But it is also a tourist trap and one daiquiri costs 6 CUC which is the highest price in... More

Well, it behooves every visitor to Vieja Habana (old Havana) to at least set foot in the bar where the Daiquiri was created. Ernest Hemingway did and so should you. As a matter of fact, he is still there, as big as life! Sitting in his favourite corner, sipping his favourite drink. Of course "he" is cast in bronze but... More

My husband really wanted to go to the Floridita, and we stayed for just one overpriced drink. It is really quite dingy inside, and there is a heavy fog of smoke hanging over everyone. The extractors were working very loudly but this made no difference to the air quality. Drinks cost exactly double the price in other bars, and the... More

We visited this restaurant on 11th Jan 2015, We sat down in the bar for a daquari which were delicious then took our seats in the restaurant where it all went wrong. We sat for 10 mins before being offered a food or drinks menu baring in mind there were only 3 other tables taken in the restaurant so service... More

Affortunadamente swayed by havanamenu.com me , because sometimes one needs to vary the routine , and logically that takes risks, but I appreciate the information given on this website and to confirm for myself what they described . I recommend it to those who want a good meal , standard acceptable price and location.

We were taken to this renowned restaurant by our tour guide. Great discussion took place between our guide and the staff apparently over some of our party not wanting the lobster speciality! Once this was resolved, we were served with a complimentary drink and the first course. Unfortunately for me someone had miscounted the lobster quantity, so I was without... More

Good for lunch, but you will find it crowded. The food is good and the staff are efficient. Hemingway still holds court.

I guess the food is not the reason you go there but nonetheless, more effort could have been made and it was pricey. Quite unfriendly restaurant staff I felt and from the empty tables, we should have guessed it was not going to be good. Very busy, buzzy bar area though.

Popped in on a walking tour of Havana for a quick mojito and a photo or two and felt like we had stepped into the past. Dignified, courteous waiters, great music, the best mojitos of the trip and of course a few moments with the old man himself. A must-do in Havana!

I loved it because of what it used to be and I'm a Hemingway fan. BUT the two times I've been it was over crowded and overpriced which makes it quite undesirable. I am really fence sitting on this review! Walk by, stick your head in the door, take a picture but you could easily pass this one by and... More
