We went as part of an Ernest Hemmingway tour and it's definitely trading on its name. The drinks were okay, the bar was packed so atmosphere was good (if hot and sticky!) but the food was terrible. Go for a drink but not for food!

La Floridita is one of the most recognizable places in Havana - and a must have to visit while in Havana. It's extremely air-conditioned - it's actually cold inside which is a nice change. The food is average - nothing special really - you can find better food in central than here - but it's ok. The drinks are overpriced... More

Great atmosphere, nice surroundings, excellent service, statue of Hemingway in the bar - photo opportunity ! Late night music, very Cuban and very entertaining, would recommend and would return

Very atmospheric inside I'm sure that Earnest Hemmingway loved it but things have changed since he was last there and now it is one of the few places in the city where service is poor. The cocktails were ordinary but by Havana standards expensive. There are better places to go and experience Havana

The food is not great, but is the same as most restaurants in Havana. But the most famous is the daiquiri!

Ernest Hemingway said: "My mojito in La Bodeguita and my daikiri in La Floridita". La Floridita is a very good place to sit and have a good time with your friends having a nice daikiri, as Hemingway suggested. The place is very well decorated, with a statue of Hemingway, air conditioning, and a band playing cuban music. I loved it.

It's a bit touristy compared to other places you might find, but has an undeniable authenticity. Staff are old as time but fast, and the two music acts we watched were great. The room itself feels untouched since the fifties, which is just what you want from an old town bar. The daiquiris were brilliant.

Make a visit drink a daikari, don't stay too long there are plenty of other bars around the area that are better placed both price wise and quality of drinks. Big tourist stop in Havana as you could imagine
