Great Atmosphere at lunch time

We had heard of the Floridita and couldnt wait to try it. We arrived at lunch time and a great Cuban band were playing but many young locals were joining in and made for a great atmosphere. When we visited the followign evening the atmosphere was not so good. This is a place to pass by because of... read more

We visited at lunch time when it was packed but atmospheric with a band playing and Ernest sat in the corner! It's very touristy though and expensive for what it is, overall worth going, if only to see the realistic statue of Hemingway sat at the bar.

This has got to be one of the most touristy spots in Havana - the bar made famous by Hemingway's alleged saying, "My daiquiri at the Floridita, my mojito at La Bodeguita." There's a bust of Hemingway at the corner of the bar that's a perfect selfie spot, and the group tours crowd in dozens at a time into the... More

This is one of those spots you must visit when in Havana. The daiquiris are cold and delicious, and the plaintain chips served with them are amazingly good. It's always crowded, If you sit at the bar, avoid the two seats next to bronze Hemingway. If you sit there, you'll get jostled a lot--though you may enjoy meeting the strangers... More

A must for a Banana Daiquiri and the live music is great too. The waiters authentic 1950's suits are worth the visit.

Great food and great service with the opportunity to buy souvenirs of the visit. Live music regularly being played. A must do experience in old Havana.

Drop in and see the statue of Hemingway bracing the bar, order a daiquiri and then move on. This is a tourist curiosity stop because of the Hemingway connection, but you will find better daiquiris at lower prices elsewhere.

Yes, it's a tourist trap, cliched and at times cheesy but what a wonderful place to spend time enjoying the live Cuban music and soaking up the ambiance. Drinks were more expensive here than in other locations but they were of a very standard and cheap by Western standards.

Not busy for dinner. Has an old world charm to it. The food was good but not amazing. Worth going for the atmosphere.
