We had a good dinner.

A little bit more expensive than we would have expected. Good food and good drinks in a restaurant on the first floor. The restaurant is near the museum of the revolution.

This restaurant was recommended to us by another Canadian. It's located in Old Habana, very close to the Museo de Revolucion and Museo de Belles Artes. It's above a hairdresser's called Ruidi Pelluqueros, the sign of which is on the front. The restaurant is up a few flights of stairs, so not accessible unfortunately. We loved it so much we... More

Drawn by its good reviews, my wife, two sons and I popped by here for a spot of lunch. Accessed by a rather anonymous doorway and staircase (as so many restaurants in Havana seemed to be) we entered the restaurant with its rather lovely eclectic décor and split level dining areas. The food was good, I had a duck salad... More

There is no doubt that this was once a home. The kitchen is small- and if you are sitting upstairs you walk right past it. It is hard to believe that all the delicious meals we had came from that one tiny kitchen- it really is a miracle. We sat upstairs-outside on the patio. The patio is small and very... More

Our driver introduced us to this charming paladare in Old Havana and we are very glad that he did as we would not have found it. It is located up a narrow flight of stairs near the Museum of the Revolution, yet without any menu or signs to call attention to it. Once on the 2nd floor, it opens up... More

Skip the crab risotto with bits of shell through out. For these prices in Havana it should be excellent. The salad had no dressing on it AT ALL (I mean un torn leaves in a bowl) and when I asked if they forgot the dressing the waiter told us no. Apparently Cuban style. Skip this one. Average at best.

This place is crazy busy. Despite having a reservation for 9pm, we waited 15 minutes in the staircase before anyone payed attention to us and another 20 minutes at the bar on the upper level, before being offered something to drink. The menu is varied and the dishes well executed (try the stuffed raviolis) which should be expected because this... More

We were recommended to eat here and they were not wrong. He must be the Rick Stien of Havana. Fab clams to start, followed by Fish Stew and a simple fresh pudding which sounds OK but was super....raspberry sorbet with Cava poured over.. sublime for something so simple. Best to book they say. Lovely staff as you expect with small... More

This was the best meal we had in Cuba: flavorful suckling pig, perfectlly cooked lobster, fish croquettes (good wine!). The veggies on the side actually had flavor! This delicious meal showed us that the excuse heard time and again on the TA forums that no Cuban food is good because of the embargo is b.s. There are not very many... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel manager, but we were not sure where we would eat that day so we were surprised when we turned up at the restaurant an found that the hotel had rang ahead and booked us a table, which we had not asked for so were immediately suspicious. However any concerns we had were soon... More
