The restaurant did close about a month ago. They do not serve any more. Opened a chicken take-away in the basement.

I often take groups to Cuba and I have twice taken a small group to La Buena Vida. It's a charming restaurant, very reminiscent of the paladars of a few years ago, with fantastic and creative food. And at a very reasonable price. I recommend it highly - everyone I have taken here loves it.

This a great pescetarian restaurant. We tried so many dishes but the best was the calamari with pineapple sauce. They have a very nice vegetarian selection which is hard to find in Havana and the atmosphere is really nice too.

This restaurant makes use of vegetables - in a big way. No meat (some fish). Very healthy. And incredibly delicious. The service is friendly, efficient, and non-invasive. The chef comes and speaks with his guests, the restaurant is pretty - quite a step away from the pork/rice and beans typical menu in Cuba.

We stayed in Jibacoa but our cab driver knew of this restaurant. He called ahead to make reservations for our group. The first thing that catches your eye about the restaurant is the decor. It was incredible. Beautiful pieces of art created with recycled materials. Even the bathroom was beautiful. The service was amazing. We were the only ones in... More

Found this restaurant on trip advisor before travelling to Cuba. As others have stated the restaurant is not particularly easy to find. Our taxi driver knew the area but still had to get out and ask when we arrived in the street where the restaurant was located. Once there the converted house is quirkily decorated, extremely relaxing and friendly courteous... More

I had a very hard time getting to this restaurant. It is not well known and the taxi driver had never been there. We found it and because it seemed to be in a residential area, asked the taxi to return for us. The restaurant personnel and the driver agreed to 9pm. The service was unusually slow, especially between the... More

We knew that is the vegetarian restaurant, but heard also that they have a delicious sea food, and that was right...excellent food, wine, rum and service! And lemon pie :)

Tne one and only vegetarian restaurant in Havana, at least as far as I know. Creative cuisine, very good service, lovingly decorated, nice atmosphere and good food. Fortunatly a good alternative to the to the hundreds of boring paladares in havana.

What a great little place. The food was excellent and artistically prepared, and the decorations were unique in many ways. We sat outside and had a wonderful lunch with a light breeze blowing. Just as pleasant as it could be. Thumbs up all the way
