A perfect small spot to spend time taking in the sights

I spent two evenings there in February. A Cuban friend of mine took me the first time and we met John and his staff at the bar downstairs. The staff were all friendly, we enjoyed music videos, and lots to drink! I went back a second time and again, wasn't disappointed! It is a must when you... read more

Food is really good and so it is the service - it does not come cheap but if you want to eat PROPER Cuban food which is sophisticated and at the same time home-made...well, this is the place!!!! Live music (3 young and very talented musicians) accompanies the meals, so the atmosphere is relaxed and joyful!!!!!! RECOMMENDED!!!

While coming back from the beach in Trinidad another couple recommended this place. It turned out to be THE best recommendation. Frank the chef and Frank the barkeeper are awesome! They were very welcoming. The food and the cocktails were wonderful (come after 4 pm during the week, then all cocktails are 1,50 CUC ;) ). Definitely a place to... More

We were on our way to catching a taxi, to go back fron Havana center to our hotel in Miramar, when we passed by this nice place. A few table outside, on the street, caught our eyes, together with three guy that seemed to be preparing themselves to play and sing. We asked on of the waiters that stood at... More

We have just returned from a wonderful cruise during which we visited Havana. On the way back to our ship we came across the Nao Bar and were welcomed at the door by a member of staff. The bar is quite small and intimate and although we were initially the only two in there we were made to feel so... More

The standard of the meals in this restaurant is very high and the prices quite reasonable for a capital city restaurant. It is a paladar meaning that it is run by private enterprise (usually a family) rather than by the government and they work very hard to make the restaurant work. Well worth a visit but book up as it... More

When we found this Paladar what a treasure and perfect as we happened to discover it during cocktail happy hour. Both the downstairs bar area and the upstairs dining area are intimate and atmospheric. We were not hungry which was a shame as we watched them prepare through a hatch in to the kitchen and the attention to detail was... More

We returned here two years later and found this Paladar still a treasure. It is small, intimate, and lovely. The food is great, with a creative twist. Staff are attentive and the wine list is excellent. We ate in other restaurants while in Havana, one more expensive and one less. NAO was by far the better value and a nicer... More

I have eaten here twice and both times it was very good. Rather small table area on first floor but more tables upstairs. First came here with local Cuban Tour Guide who recommended it and it was very good. Came back again on my own and very pleased with the service, food offerings and price. Suggest you try multiple appetizers... More

Didn't eat here, but the drinks are amazing! Seriously the best Piña Colada/Piña Catalana I've ever had. Also the stuff is very friendly! And if you're a budged traveller, go in this place between 4-6 pm, since then all drinks are -50% off so you'll pay around 1,5-2€/drink. I highly recommend to order some of the drinks mentioned above since... More
