Pride of ownership evident from start to finish

We were dying for a break from mediocre Cuban cuisine and this fit the bill. Our driver knew the owner/Chef Walter who is Italian. He was very welcoming, the place was packed, had lovely live music and the best Sangria I've ever had. We had a nice waitress that spoke excellent English (I know I... read more

I was here with a large group and the lunch was family style. I met the chef-owner Walter Cinevri. The Paladar is near embassy row and in a nice neighborhood. The food was very fresh and the tomatoes are home-grown. Wines are from Italy - Cuba has inferior wines. Staff is fun. Kick back, relax and remember - you're in... More

Very nice paladar in a great setting. We went early-isn for dinner and had no problems getting a table. The place seemed to fill up from about 7PM, so a reservation might be a good idea if you were planning to arrive later. Enjoyed a good salad and a very nice breaded fish. Others had a pizza (excellent) and a... More

A must see restaurant for anyone visiting Havana! The atmosphere is elegant and comfortable. The staff was above exceptional, especially our waitress Mairelys! She spoke English very well, and saved us from the humiliation of stuttering through our Spanish attempts. The food was some of the best Italian I've ever had, with a nice Cuban touch. The fish is highly... More

Knowing how hard it can be to find good food in Cuba-this place really is good. Drinks were good, food was tasty and dessert (homemade ice cream ) was fantastic. Also the complimentary bread was yummy. I would have given a better score for atmosphere (beautiful old house) but we were seated upstairs outside and it was too cold.

Food is great, best Pasta in town. Looking for local dishes try the Pierna al Horno. Portions are quite big. I tried Spaghetti a la Vongole, delicious!!!!

Went for lunch to celebrate my birthday, and love it! From the appetizers to the main meal to dessert, everything fresh, huge portions, and it truly felt like we were back in Italy...but I have to admit that also the prices felt like we were back in Italy ;) Nevertheless the service was also very good, and even though it... Our group of 11 came here for lunch - everything was delicious and plentiful. The vegetarians among us, were very satisfied, and they couldn't say that everywhere! We were very pleased with the food, the service and the atmosphere.

This was a delightful place to dine. Fantastic food, festive atmosphere, friendly servers and a surprise trio of opera singers that were very talented. From the first course to the last - everything was perfect!

Came here with a large group and was given a private dinning room for ourselves and gave dinner a real home family feel. Good place been here several times.
