nice group experience

My partner and I tried Atelier one night without a reservation but were turned away. (Note: ALWAYS make a reservation at the well-known places). We called two nights later, however, and managed to reserve a table for 10. The service was decent and so was the food. One of my colleagues mentioned... read more

The setting, a rooftop with the setting sun, then dining under the stars was a perfect ending to our trip. Our entire group (Pan Am Historical Foundation) had a fabulous ending to a magical trip. The food was very good, the service was speedy and friendly. This could be a romantic setting for a couple, a great place for friends... More

Atelier is an incredibly beautiful and welcoming paladar. The dining rooms and roof are delightful and the food was very good indeed. We dined here with a Cuban American Chef who cooked with the owner. It is amazing what Niuris Higueras (the owner and chef) is able to create with limited facilities and products. The food was excellent and atmosphere... More

We (wife and I), with another couple had dinner (supper) here. Outside dining was delightful. Lobster with garlic butter -- quite good (a little to salty -- Cubanos use lots of salt so you may want to request "no" salt); Lamb was not what my wife expected (more like stewed than roasted); shrimp with lentils as an appetizer was exceptional.... Atelier Paladar is an invention for tourists, with prices and offerings that bear no relation to the real Cuba or what can be experienced in Havana.

From the outside one sees a beautiful white building with lovely planting surrounding it. After climbing the steps we entered a dining room with crocheted table cloths, and an eclectic assortment of old glass ware and place settings....all very artistically arranged. We had duck in a fruit sauce, and asparagus in a light cheese sauce. The wine list was modest,... More

This is a beautiful paladar in Vedado. When the weather is nice, it's great to dine on the rooftop terrace. The restaurant is located on the second floor, so it's necessary to climb stairs to reach the dining rooms. Service is pretty good - not the best in Havana, but not the worst either. The food is delicious. Recommended.

We arrived to a totally dark house, but a greeter welcomed us and led us up the stairs. We had made reservations. Arriving in a large dark dining room, we saw a foursome dining by candlelight. A bit confused, we again told the young woman who greeted us that we had reservations and asked if we could sit outside, and... More

Lobster for $15 cucs was very good but someone at my table got a lot more of the sauce than I did. Lovely old home, but sooooo many tourists.

Our group of 30 with Earthbound Expeditions enjoyed the family style appetizers. chicken, rice and beans, fish, desserts and a welcome cocktail. The staff was friendly and worked hard to welcome us. I enjoyed the photos on the walls by a local artist. I'm not sure if they take individuals/small groups as the tables seemed to be prepared for larger... More
