Worth the find!

Atmosphere was rustic and roomy. Looked appealing even before the food came. I had the Pork-chop and garlic plate, which was enough for 2 people, and expertly prepared. Came with Cuban Style rice and beans and a salad. I was very satisfied with this meal and would recommend it to anyone.

Me and a friend went to Dona Blanquita because of the recommendation of Roberto Quintela, which is the owner of a lovely casa particular in Havana Vieja. Specially if you compare the food and prices to other restaurants in the city, you will love this place. I had a really good plate of lobsters, rice and viandas for 15 cuc.... More

Located off the Prado on the second floor up a steep staircase you exit into a charming restaurant with inside and balcony dining. We brought our own bottle of wine to celebrate a birthday, didn't charge a corkage fee. Hubby had the lamb prepared a la oso buco and I had the grilled lobster tail. Both had fresh carrots and... We dined here by pure chance - another highly rated venue was booked out (amazing for Cuba), and as we had passed by this place on the way, we decided to return. We were fortunate to get the last table. Menu was slightly different to the general Cuban fare, but this was enough to make it very interesting. Both our... More

Had two good meals here. Found this restaurant at the start of our 26 day independent travel through Cuba. Great location and a very easy walk from Parque Central along the Prado. Had a great meal, chatted to the owner and enjoyed Ropa Vieja and a special Plantain dish. Sat outside on the terrace late one evening and had a... More

In a town with a good cuisine hobbled by bad ingredients and indifferent execution, this restaurant was a refuge. We would try average to awful restaurants, but always came back here. The food is simple Cuban fare served in generous portions, but whoever is in the back actually cares. The service was attentive, the prices reasonable, the kitschy decor charming,... More

Tripadvisor boasts an above average rating for this Paladar.  TripAdvisor has been misinformed. As mentioned in other reviews, Dona Blanquita is situated in a prime location with excellent views across the Paseo De Marti which many diners would pay top dollar for. Unfortunately, you can't eat the view. Instead, on the menu, one is faced with a selection of 'meats'.... More

Good food, rather large portions. Menu is rather international -- both Cuban and Italian as well as French and Spanish. Don't expect fine dining by European standards. We ate here two times during our stay in Havana and would definitely return next time as well.

A lovely little place with a balcony overlooking el Prase. My son and I ordered the specials. ....chicken in pinapple and beef in plantain. Great taste....and really different in flavour .....In Cuba imagination and available ingredients often make dishes very similar no matter where you go

I’ve been to many good restaurants and private paladars in Havana, but I want to offer an enthusiastic shout-out for this particular place. I’ve made 12 trips to Cuba since the year 2000, and I’ve eaten at Doña Blanquita’s probably a half-dozen times over the years, most recently in May of 2014. What started as a modest establishment has morphed... More
