We booked a table at this restaurant based on a review in a guide-book and were not disappointed - You access the restaurant via a slightly dingy stairway but you then arrive at a charming small restaurant with a nice balcony where we were fortunate to sit. The food and service were excellent, and it was very cheap, especially given... More

Varied menu with good seafood; second floor views of Paseo del Prado. Attentive service and reasonable prices.

Cuban food has often been accused of being bland or tasteless. Those people must have missed Doña Blanquita. Located within walking distance of Parque Central and Museo de la Revolucion, Doña Blanquita offered one of the best culinary experiences I had in Cuba. They offered me a daily special which wasn't on any menu: skewered pork with a generous amount... More

If you want to see a traditional paladar this is a place to visit. The food was home made, huge portions. Make sure you book a table on the balcony, so you can enjoy the lovely view over Paseo de Marti. Although the food was average it was quite interesting experience.

Best advice is to get the price of a meal before hand. Paladars can be expensive, we had a 2 course meal for 4 adults, with drinks and paid about 50% above what we later found out was the average price of eating out in good restaurants...of which there are plenty in Havana. Dont be fooled into letting a taxi... More

We found this on the first night. We saw the balcony was full from the outside so took it as a Good sign. There was a lot of waiting for the food and table but the kitsch decor kept us amused. When the menu came they didn't have much left so we asked for their recommendation of fish and garlic.... More

Walking the dark streets of Havana, looking for somewhere to eat which was typically Cuban, we came across the doorway and stairs leading to this little eatery with a charming balcony. We were a little nervous of what to order as the menus were mainly in Spanish. Anyway, the soup arrived after a long wait, (we had ordered this to... More

And then the lobster turned up well 2 of them for £10 and that was just one meal. servoice friendly and my fish brochette was good too.... More

We found this paladar following the guide. At the first floor of their house we were seat in the terrace, seeing the paseo de Martì! We ate chicken fried with french fries, fried bananas and vegetables, drinking bucanero beer! There are only four tables not so clean but the good taste of the food and the cheap price can be...
