" Great Dining Experience"

This was my second dining experience at this paladar. Both times I had the Seafood platter which consist of Lobster, Shrimp, and broil fish with rice and black beans. Huge portion (enough for 2) for less than $20. There are several well decorated rooms with all types of wall clocks and historical... read more

Keep on walking down San Rafael through the gritty parts of town and you will get there in the end although its easy to miss - just a small sign hanging at right angles ot the street and a narrow door way. The place is full of artefacts and staff are very friendly. Food comes on a lovely mismatch of... More

Luckily my husband has a good sense of direction so we managed to find San Cristobal with no trouble at all. We were also encouraged by a "good samaritan" to try another restaurant instead - he told us that San Cristobal had closed!!!!!! Good thing we took no notice as we loved this restaurant. We didn't have a reservation but... More

We ate at this Paladar on our last night in Havana and it was a lovely 'send off'. We had a reservation (a must) and when we arrived they had very kindly reserved two tables for us, one inside and one outside as it was a windy cool evening. We chose the outside one anyway but did have a look... More

Make a reservation. We had our day tour company contact them for us. We were seated inside in the a/c rooms. We were glad to have the a/c. All the rooms are interesting with so much to look at. The service was perfect-friendly, efficient, helpful. They have a varied menu. We had the lobster tail and chicken with curry sauce.... More

This restaurant is in a restored villa and has great charm. The service is excellent and the food is very good, which is saying a lot for Cuba. We had a seafood salad - mixed octopus, lobster and shrimp in a light dressing. Delicious and fresh. I had a squash soup - mild and flavourful. The fish was nicely cooked.... More

Very popular, reservations absolutely needed (they misplaced ours but got us in). Varied menu including rabbit and lamb. I wasn't impressed by the vegetarian fare. Excellent service.

The decor of the restaurant was over the top. Think of dining with a elaborate and delicate statue of Virgin Mary holding the baby Jesus? This is the place. The food was good, but not the best we had in Cuba. You got rum and cigars on the house too.

Having lunch with a large group of friends, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed San Cristobal. A charming restaurant (I agree with another reviewer's recommendation to ask for a tour of the various rooms), the owner and staff are outstanding. And the food measures up! True, we benefited from a welcome drink, cigars after lunch, and a taste of very... More
