Would have gave 5 but as review title says the food is just ok, we had a special platter which the waiter recomended to us for 35 pesos which is high for cuban prices. It looked beautiful but tasted bland. The restauraunt is full if wonderfull decor & interesting things, many clocks& pictures, artifacts etc. The staff are lovely the... More

Cuba is much maligned for its food but the San Cristobal Paladar certainly bucks the trend providing the excellent warm service which we experienced throughout Cuba but also complemented by excellent food! We particularly enjoyed a lamb dish with fried plantain followed by a three chocolate desert. They kindly provide complementary rum and cigar as post prandials with a broach... More

Fabulous meal here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Ray our waiter was so interested in our culture and country of origin and his command of english was excellent. Leonardo was a fabulous host and give us a guided tour of the premises, the history and architecture was fascinating- as was he, he is a fully qualified Psychiatrist! The... More

We had a fantastic evening at this restaurant two weeks ago. We were treated like royalty from the minute we walked through the door and I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. We were a party of six and the atmosphere was lovely, lots of different places/rooms to eat in. The steak melted in our mouths and was excellent value... More

This wins hands down as the best place to eat in Havanna. Book in advance to make sure you get in but do not leave Havana without going, you will not be disappointed. TIP - as this is reletively new not all taxi drivers know where it is, make sure you have the address handy before you go .

We had such a lovely evening in this restaurant - we got one of the private rooms. The service was amazing, the food ample and surprisingly at the end of the trip the best value for money spent. Along the way there will be many places that will encourage you to eat with them with freebies offered and then you... More

What an enjoyable night at the San Cristobel Paladar! As soon as you enter the staff are friendly and welcoming (so different from the state-owned restaurants and their surly staff). We were treated like VIPs and from what we could tell everyone else there was also. The food was very good (Soup, Malecon Salad and lamb stew) but it is... More

Good food, but the reason you come here is because it looks like a museum on the inside. So many things to see while you are eating. Sometimes the waiter will give you a little tour of the restaurant.

During our week in Havana we ate at some exceptional restaurants. San Cristobal, however, was the best of the best. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. Friendly staff and an atmosphere to die for created an unforgettable night. We enjoyed everything we tried, especially the squid ink rice and the grilled fish! After meeting the chef,... More
