Came here based on reviews on this site but the laneway was packed with large tables enjoying copious amounts of cheap beer. Persisted for a while but eventually moved around the corner to Parador which was more relaxing and quality.

Lovely location, and nice food at reasonable prices. Let down by a waiter who really just couldn't be bothered. He wasn't actively rude. He would acknowledge me when I asked to order or pay, but just would then continue to stand and talk to his friends for up to 10 minutes. Even when I could hear someone in the kitchen... More

Located in a nice side street of Oficio this is a lovely little place in the old town. Charming atmosphere, and nice food in home cooking style. Nothing fancy but very tasty. And very well priced. You could get a menu of Ropa Vieja including drinks for 7 CUC. More elaborated main courses were around 5 or 6 CUC.

For a government restaurant, this is good. We had the dinner special including 3 lobster tails which were very good. Our waitress was lovely and interested in answering our queries about old havana. She's spoke very good English.

We went here for tapas and a drink and found the service to be very bad - rude wait staff that barely made it over to the table to serve you (and we were polite). On the plus side the tapas were nice and we looked at others dining and the food did look very good.

This restaurant has a pretty setting surrounded by greenery in a lane in Old Havana. We had the great value set menu for lunch...I can't remember the exact price but it was certainly cheap and good quality.

We stumbled upon Cafe Lamarilla on our last day in Havana so our judgement is fairly based on comparison with a few other restaurants in old Havana. It looked pretty and inviting for a lunch stop on a hot day as it's down a pedestrianised side street and tables are spread across the street. We sat outside and had a... More

This place has a lot of outside seating with planting in a narrow pedestrianised street so it creates a nice location for eating outside. However the service was pretty miserable and the food on offer is ok but nothing special. We had the ropa Vieja (typical Cuban dish of shredded beef) which was quite nice but overall it is pretty... The food was fine, nothing exceptional. The location is lovely but the atmosphere was let down by bad 80's pop videos taking the place of the usual trio of salsa entertainers, but then I have an aversion to TV in restaurants, so maybe it's just me. Staff were lovely

Cuba is not exactly a vegetarian friendly place, but I found myself at home at Lamparilla. Fresh vegetables, good bread, nice location and friendly staff. Even their mojito was more than average.
