Cafe Lamparilla is just off the busy, pedestrian street - Marcanderes - which is the main tourist drag in Old Havana. So it provides a perfect stop for lunch or dinner after a walk, it's also a perfect for spot for people watching and getting a bit of hassle off passing touts and hawkers! If that bothers you, eat inside... More

On our first visit, we had the lobster special... fantastic. On our second visit, we had a la carte meals... terrible We decided to return once more and have the lobster special again... just as great as our first visit. Recommendation: have the chef specials and avoid the rest of the menu. The seating outside was lovely and the live... More

we ate inside because it was raining but we had earlier seen the table in the street and would have enjoyed eating outside. The staff were very welcoming and the drinks were some of the best and cheapest we had in Havana. Food was ok but nothing special. However it was v good vfm. I would go back when in... More

We at there in 2012 and then again in May 2014. The staff couldn't give a toss and it showed. The ordering took about 30 minutes and then another 30 minutes to get a sandwich. It is a cute location in a laneway, but the food is terrible.

Came here based on reviews on this site but the laneway was packed with large tables enjoying copious amounts of cheap beer. Persisted for a while but eventually moved around the corner to Parador which was more relaxing and quality.

Lovely location, and nice food at reasonable prices. Let down by a waiter who really just couldn't be bothered. He wasn't actively rude. He would acknowledge me when I asked to order or pay, but just would then continue to stand and talk to his friends for up to 10 minutes. Even when I could hear someone in the kitchen... More

Located in a nice side street of Oficio this is a lovely little place in the old town. Charming atmosphere, and nice food in home cooking style. Nothing fancy but very tasty. And very well priced. You could get a menu of Ropa Vieja including drinks for 7 CUC. More elaborated main courses were around 5 or 6 CUC.

For a government restaurant, this is good. We had the dinner special including 3 lobster tails which were very good. Our waitress was lovely and interested in answering our queries about old havana. She's spoke very good English.

We went here for tapas and a drink and found the service to be very bad - rude wait staff that barely made it over to the table to serve you (and we were polite). On the plus side the tapas were nice and we looked at others dining and the food did look very good.
