This restaurant is an old printing house and has a number of antiquated pieces of machinery as decorations. It also has intriguing newer printing inspired decorative touches and a pleasant open courtyard in the middle. The food we had was very nice, although there were a few things on the menu they didn't have. The only improvement could have been... More

I go there whenever I'm in Havana. The venue is quite original with many old printing presses and other equipment. The seats are in the shape of letters so it's visually very interesting and the restaurant area is open to a small garden area and Mark Escher style of steps leading nowhere. Food is good and inexpensive, served by fairly... More

The La Imprenta is a fomer printing works and the interior is amazing, to rival any restaurant in major cities aroud the World. The food is excellent and at reasonable prices. The staff are very welcoming and again excellent. I would go back every week if it was in London.

Food was excellent, I had the chicken curry which was like the curry my boyfriends nana cooks (she is Caribbean). The restaurant itself was really nicely decorated staff spoke limited English but they were still helpful and friendly, worth a visit and highly recommended.

Visited this restaurant 5 times at out last stay in Havana. The location is great, and the interior is good as well. The prices are awesome, and the food is great as well (did only try meat courses). Cheap drinks, and magnificent Creme Caramel. Definitively worth a visit!

La Imprenta used to be a printhouse; it is now a state owned restaurant. You can see the pictures related to its history on the walls. Some parts of the machinery is also exhibited in the restaurant. It is a partly closed, but mainly an open restaurant and is located on the busy Mercaderes Street which houses many museums, shops... More

I would give it all 5 stars for the food quality, but the service wasn't very good. The waiter was very arrogant and after waiting around 15 minutes for the desert menu, during which time waiter was chatting to the bartender not taking any notice - we've decided to have a desert somewhere else. No tips on that visit!

We liked to look of this restaurant when we walked past it one afternoon, and the special menu items displayed on a board outside also sounded good. We returned the next evening and were the only customers, but we assumed that this was due to it being a Monday evening and earlier than we usually would dine (around 7pm). The... More

We ate here on our first night as the restaurant was busy and looked nice inside. I order the beef slices with lemon, garlic and onion and something looking and smelling like dog food was presented - dry chewy chunks of beef. My friend had lobster which she said tasted of nothing but salt and nearly threw up later on.... More
