I really enjoyed it. And as a graphic designer I was amazed at the decor and how it played off the original print shop. I don't know if it is state owned or private but whoever should be commended for their creativity.

A charming restaurant located in a former print works on El Mercado. The menu is limited but wholesome, however as with many outlets in Havana supply is currently limited so our advice is to go early when all selections are available. We both got our first choice selections but this was not the case for those arriving after 8pm. Prices... More

After strolling around the old square, dotting in and out of shops and restaurants and a school, we stopped here on our way back to our hotel; it was quite full though we were able to be seated rather quickly. The wait staff was mostly uninterested in taking our orders but I don't think that had anything to do with... More

I already knew that the state run restaurants in Havana aren’t the best places to eat but we stopped here for lunch during a tour so we didn’t have much choice in the matter. Despite there being plenty of free tables we had to wait a while to be seated and the service was generally pretty poor throughout our time... More

Unlike other reviewers' comments, we found our experience at La Imprenta to be very lacking in anything special. We had lunch there and it seemed that both the waitstaff and the food selections were just "passing" in quality. Maybe at night with the roof partially opened to the sky the atmosphere is very different. I ordered chicken which was, unfortunately,... More

We dinned at La Imprenta (2nd time in about a year). The venue was full, glad we made reservations. The service and food were excellent considering it's a State run restaurant. The prices are spectacular for the quality and amount of food. Fantastic value for the money. We will be returning for sure.

This restaurant is partly roofless, allowing a view of the stars, which is beautiful. The food is of excellent quality- we shared a simply delicious seafood paella, absolutely stuffed full of prawns and fish- and the place is absolutely beautifully decorated. It is head and shoulders above the average Havana restaurant.

This restaurant is located in a beautiful building with an inner courtyard. Unfortunately, my experience was ruined by very poor service from the waiters - I was essentially ignored for much of the time (any when I did get their attention they were gruff). The bathroom had no running water (they provided a bottle of water beside the sink to... More

It was a really interesting building and ambiance but found the food to just be average and the service (although hard to find really good restaurant service in havana) was particularly bad. Wouldn't go back.
