The best meal we had in Havana!

We had reservations at another restaurant and while walking by here decided to try it instead. The food was amazing, and very reasonably priced. We had a party of 4, shared a bottle of wine and got some of the most expensive things on the menu and the bill came to $87CUC. The atmosphere is great... read more

I already knew that the state run restaurants in Havana aren’t the best places to eat but we stopped here for lunch during a tour so we didn’t have much choice in the matter. Despite there being plenty of free tables we had to wait a while to be seated and the service was generally pretty poor throughout our time... More

Unlike other reviewers' comments, we found our experience at La Imprenta to be very lacking in anything special. We had lunch there and it seemed that both the waitstaff and the food selections were just "passing" in quality. Maybe at night with the roof partially opened to the sky the atmosphere is very different. I ordered chicken which was, unfortunately,... More

We dinned at La Imprenta (2nd time in about a year). The venue was full, glad we made reservations. The service and food were excellent considering it's a State run restaurant. The prices are spectacular for the quality and amount of food. Fantastic value for the money. We will be returning for sure.

This restaurant is partly roofless, allowing a view of the stars, which is beautiful. The food is of excellent quality- we shared a simply delicious seafood paella, absolutely stuffed full of prawns and fish- and the place is absolutely beautifully decorated. It is head and shoulders above the average Havana restaurant.

This restaurant is located in a beautiful building with an inner courtyard. Unfortunately, my experience was ruined by very poor service from the waiters - I was essentially ignored for much of the time (any when I did get their attention they were gruff). The bathroom had no running water (they provided a bottle of water beside the sink to... More

It was a really interesting building and ambiance but found the food to just be average and the service (although hard to find really good restaurant service in havana) was particularly bad. Wouldn't go back.

After many trips to Habana I tried this place. I wish I had tried it sooner. The location on Calle Mercaderes is just a short walk from Plaza Vieja. The location appears to be an old printing shop. Politely greeted and led to a table. Service was attentive and prompt. I had an appetizer, main meal and a beer for... More

Easy to find in the old section of Havana, this restaurant is on Calle Mercaderes. Must have been an old industrial building, now mostly gutted out, but well decorated. Lobsters were delicious and service was above average. This is a very good alternative to hotel meals !

This was a nice place to have lunch and the food and price was reasonable. When we came to pay the bill the staff weren't very helpful. I probably wouldn't rush back here.
