La Casa restaurant is the result of a wide family heritage and also a dream came true. It's been more than 18 years since the day we opened to the public in our Californian stylish house, built in the 1950's. Our desire was to become a family restaurant, where guests could enjoy the authentic Cuban food, cooked in our kitchen following the recipes for Cuban food, among those a large number of our family heritage recipes.

Good Food, Good Service, and Nice Atmosphere

We ate here as part of our tour of Havana. The food was great, and owner was very very good to us, and even moved us to the part of the restaurant with air conditioning when he saw us uncomfortable in the heat. He even brought a huge huge fish that he was buying for a local for us to... read more

We have been to Havana before and we were tired of the large groups and having to follow a rigorous schedule. A group of us travelled from Edmonton Alberta to Vardaro and decided to try something different this time. We hired a private tour guide and asked him to recommend some good restaurants in Havanna. After a great tour our... More

This paladar (family-run restaurant) is one of the best restaurants I've had the pleasure of visiting. The service is fast, friendly, and accommodating. The food is delicious, fresh and unique, with inspiration from around the world. The owner (who grew up in the house/restaurant) is welcoming, talkative and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is beautifully designed and comfortably arranged. Highly recommend.

Recently visited Cuba and was pleasantly surprised at the eating out experience. The food was excellent as was the host, this is definitely a place to eat when in Havana.

At lunch you have a choice of 5 set menus. The pumpkin soup was excellent! The chicken was the best followed by the lobster and rabbit. The shrimp dish was a little disappointing. As well, the mojitos were very good too.

We rented a cab for a day from Varadero to Havana and enjoyed our visit through the city. Our taxi/guide took us to la casa and enjoyed a terrific filling lunch... I was full after my soup... Trust me if you are a big eater you will enjoy how much they give you... A little steep but hey on holidays... More

First time in Havana, we were brought here by our wise tour-guide who's insights were right on about the food and service. I had the best most refreshing sangria I've had in a long time here. Also, the langouste was simply delicious. As for the espresso, it was the prefect ending to a great lunch and went perfectly with the... More

We were brought here by our Havana day guide so Its difficult to speak of the location as I have no idea how close or not it is to Old Havana center. I can however speak of the food and atmosphere. After 2 days eating what i can only call mediocre food in Havana, we were dropped off for lunch... More
