La Casa restaurant is the result of a wide family heritage and also a dream came true. It's been more than 18 years since the day we opened to the public in our Californian stylish house, built in the 1950's. Our desire was to become a family restaurant, where guests could enjoy the authentic Cuban food, cooked in our kitchen following the recipes for Cuban food, among those a large number of our family heritage recipes.

Great Cuban food

We were told that this is the oldest private restaurant or palada in Havana, established in 1995. The authentic Cuban, food fresh from the family kitchen, was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

We had an excellent experience all aroun. The food and service were wonderful and the setting in a large suburban home was relaxing.

This restaurant is in a family's home and therefore had a charming and cozy ambiance. We were greeted by the owner of the restaurant and were promptly offered drinks and tapas. The food was tasty and reflected the local cuisine, with some additional variety compared to the other restaurants we had sampled in Havana. The addition of Cuban musicians added... More

We were treated to great food and great music. Alejandro (owner) was the best host, and very friendly to the guests.

I recently visited this restaurant as part of a group excursion organised by Havana Tours. There was plenty of choice for a group meal experience, and everyone was happy with the meat/fish option-and boths starters/desserts complemented the main courses. There was,as ever, in Cuba accompanying music, more subtlely presented than some of the other places we visited-enjoyable to listen to.The staff were both... More

This Paladar in their house. We had the roasted chicken and it was the best we had in Cuba. Black beans and rice was very good also. The owner took the time to come over and introduce himself and make sure every thing was good. Don't miss this restaurant when in Havana.

This was our first experience of a Paladar. it turned out to be the best. The Mohitos were excellent - the food was the best and most varied local cuisine that we had for a whole fortnight. The service also prompt, but not rushed as we found in other places. Definitely 5 Stars.

We were visiting Havana on a day trip and our tour guide took us here for lunch. I can't say enough great things about the food, and the family that are running this place. I loved how it was a fixed menu and you could choose different meals. I had the chicken, and my boyfriend had the pork. Both were... More

Very nice food and friendly efficient service - really fresh fish dishes and great rabbit stew. We ate there twice, as it was the best restaurant that we tried in Nuevo Vedado. MUCH better food and service than the nearby Balcon.
