The best entrance to a restaurant. Walking up the stairs of a multifamily mansion past a floor with laundry hanging on a line. Really enjoyed eating at this restaurant. It is especially interesting if you have seen "Strawberry and Chocolate." The snapper and mojitos very good. The atmosphere is magical. Need to make a reservation.

Recently visited this diamond in the rough and found the service and the meal to be exceptional. Presentation was beautiful and the young ladies who waited on us were very attentive and prompt. It definitely should be a "do not miss" experience if you have an opportunity to visit Havana, Cuba. I would advise making reservations.

After reading all the reviews we were excited to visit the restaurant but we were left very disappointed. In short: the awful, the bad, the average and the good. The awful: After dinner we exited and the bouncer downstairs (who had welcomed us on arrival) asked us if we wanted a taxi. We said yes. Then he got one of... More

Dear Customer : Before answering about your experience in the restaurant , it is important that the taxis you mention does not belong to the restaurant. Actually , in Havana does not work the pick up of official taxis correctly. However, these drivers have their documents to work as taxi drivers . I agree with you that it is wrong... More

WE were recommended to his "paladar" and what an experience. You do need a reservation so make sure you book a couple of days in advance. The food here is exquisite, so varied and beautifully presented. Service excellent. Don't visit Havana without sampling this restaurant

This place has the best mohito I ever had. And the building is wonderful. The interior is nice but I highly recommended to seat at the balcony....charming and you can watch the real life of Havana. But I would not go there to eat. The food we got was so avarage if not poor. The rabbit was old and dry... More

We regret this opinion because we really strive cooking for every customer and the dishes mentioned are some of the most requested. Experience cooks and ingredients used make this restaurant one of the most visited of the city. The charm of the building, decoration, music and service, distinguished our culinary offer. We can only hope that you return for a... More

The interiors of the restaurant are really attractive, but surprises us your opinion of the balconies, they are very much in demand by customers. The building also striking for its beauty despite the deterioration suffered. However, we regret that you have not been satisfied with the food. The entire group of the kitchen strives to make each dish a unique... More

La Guarida was recommended to us by Ezio in Casa Densil which is a few blocks away. As with most things in Havana it is a unique experience. Dont be put off by the surrounding area it may appear to be a rough neighbourhood but like most of Havana it is actually quite safe. The building itself looks almost derelict... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and it is well worth a visit - you'll soon see that it's not easy to find good food in Cuba. We emailed ahead and reserved a table, the restaurant doesn't look like one from the outside but don't be put off, once you get upstairs its a lovely setting and... More

I had snapper at this restaurant and my friend and I tried numerous side dishes like fried plantain and yuka which were all really great, although my friend said her pork was a bit over cooking. My mojito was also one of the best from the whole trip. The service was very professional and the interior of the restaurant was... More

Our walk to this restaurant was long, hot and admittedly a bit precarious at first assumption. But we soon learned not to assume anything in Havanna. If this restaurant wasn't recommended to us, we would have never found nor stumbled upon it. It is tucked away on the 3rd floor of an old relic of a building. The location and... More
