To have a romantic dinner at a nice restaurant in Havana is not always possible:noise, poor variety or bad service is common, luckily things are slowly changing and little paladares are opening up everywhere,La Guarida is not a little restaurant, infact it could be found easily in a place like Montmartre in Paris, its chic nostalgic charm and good, well presented varied menu are the... The location and the building itself are amazing. The service is pretty decent and we enjoyed our meal very much. The food was great and very gourmet, very un-cuban, but not as good as some other meals we had that were a fraction of the price. Worth it though just for the location and the change of pace from other... More

Great place for diner, trendy restaurant and reservation needed - good food and nice wines choice too... still some rooms of the restaurant are for smoker - I do not smoke.. and at least they implement a 10% service charge making staff more attentif. We enjoy 3 diners there..

This restaurant was initially created as a movie scene for Fresa y Chocolate. The atmosphere is very eclectic and surprising after climbing two sets of stairs to get there.. The food is very tasty, appealingly presented . Quite expensive but worth every penny!

We absolutely love this restaurant. It was our second visit to Havana and we had to go back for the fish taco's! We could absolutely eat 5 orders of them alone! It is a very cozy and romantic restaurant with great drinks and food! The service is excellent and the ambiance is magical. Set in an old palace of sorts... More

Some friends recommended this place and it was wonderful. We arrived somewhere between lunch and dinner so the place was more or less closed but the staff did serve us anyways and we where pretty happy! La Guardia is a restaurant located close to the Malecon and maybe 15 minutes walking distance from Old Town. The entrance doesn't seem very... More

We had dinner here after having drinks outside at Hotel Nacional. The experience was really wonderful. The building is beautiful in a distressed way and the staircase along is worth a trip. You then enter the restaurant on the top floor and are greeted by professional and friendly people. Our dinner was really wonderful...not too rushed....nicely prepared and presented and... More

We ate at this La Guarida after researching it on the internet prior to our visit to Havana in August. It did not disappoint. The building looks quite dilapidated and the stairs are very windy but trust me when say it was worth the climb. The food was of a very high quality, tasty and the service was great. When... More

Paladar La Guarida is placed on the 3rd floor of a beautiful old charming building in Centro, Havana The restaurant itself offers a very atmospheric decor and feeling -- every room was exceptional, incl. the bathroom. We were politely welcomed and placed at an amazing balcony table overlooking the road --- really lovely setting The dishes are gourmet and although... More

I will admit that I was a bit sceptical of this place, but it was a fantastic dinner experience. The pictures of the building don't do it justice. To get to the restaurant, you must walk up a grand old staircase and through a huge empty house, but once inside it is a very quaint and charming place. The food... More
