This place is very famous and open for dinner service only. Reservation is a must. Lots of celebrities have visited this restaurant over the years and all their photos area on the walls. It was subject to a movie as well and the entire restaurant feels like a big movie set. Not sure about the food; everything was good but... More

Really great range of tasty food, reasonably priced. Whilst it was a little more than the average meal in Cuba, I thought it was more than worth it for the choice that was available. A good wine list, with a variety of price points, a table on the balcony and attentive service made this an enjoyable first evening in the... More

The location of this restaurant is odd and magnificent at the same time as it's on the top floor of an old building in Centro Habana. The restaurant actually occupies the rooms where the award-winning movie "Fresa y Chocolate" was filmed. My friend and I had dinner at La Guarida on a midweek night without reservation. We were sitting on... More

A highlight of our trip to havana. Romantic and enchanting setting - we loved the balcony table setting, we adored the building, however nothing compares to the amazing food. All in all a truely memorable evening and a must if you are in havana and appreciate good food - however book when you arrive as it gets very busy.

My wife and I paid a visit to this gastronomic experience whilst on honeymoon last month. We were blown away not only by the food served (I had the lobster, my wife the chicken) but by the kindness and generosity of the manager and staff. When we arrived, we realised it was a cash only restaraunt. It was 8pm, we... More

I have been coming back here with groups for many years as it is an interesting venue and with a good reputation. The last time I attributed the bad experience to a bad day. This time last week it was worse. The prices have risen and the food is more and more mediocre. To make matters worse, the service is... More

The restaurant is located in a very unassuming building but it is beautiful and full of character. Service was pleasant and the ambience is great. Would recommend the octopus ceviche and watermelon soup dishes - delicious! However, dessert was a let down I had what was basically a scoop of ice cream and a wedge of pineapple. I can't remember... On the third floor of what looks like a decrepit and abandoned building (but is actually occupied by families on the second floor and the restaurant on the third) you come upon a lovely restaurant - well worth the climb up the stairs. I had pork cutlets which were tender and moist and one of the biggest portions I had... More

We went here for our 50th wedding anniversary last December, it was excellent but since then the restaurant has had a massive refurb. Must go back next year to see the work and if the food has improved.

The paladar has an amazing atmosphere, hidden in a dilapidated old building so that when one reaches the actual restaurant it is a stunning experience. We can't say enough wonderful things about the entire food and atmosphere. The food and wine was delicious and the service was prompt and attentive. The servers appeared very kind during our meal. However, at the... More
