Everything here was nice. As many others have pointed out the journey up to the restaurant was the highlight. The food I found a little contrived though ultimately quite tasty. The sting in the tail however was service being ADDED to the bill. Then, when we failed to add to this, the sense that we had somehow sinned with not... More

Not far from Havana Vieja, this restaurant is a must visit place in Havana. You can either take a taxi or walk from Havana Vieja or from El Capitolio. When you arrive there you are not sure if you are in the right location. A colonial run down building where many families live in the first 2 floors is the... More

The setting, up several sets of stairs in a crumbly building, is magical when you get there. Out of a different time period but not a recognizable one. The dining rooms are cozy and quiet and you can even have a table for two on the balcony out front. And the food was spectacular. Wonderful lobster, suckling pig, and especially... More

We were in Havana for about 5 days, and this restaurant provided the best meal of the entire trip. Definitely some of the most creative offerings I saw while we were there. I had the spinach crepes with a flavorful chicken filling and a beet vinaigrette - delicious!

We went here after reading about it in the reviews and also in one of the books. Thought that if its good enough for Queen Sofia and Jay Z, it should be good enough for us. Also checked with some of our hotel staff and they had highly recommend it. It was rubbish. Terrible food which is way overpriced. Its... More

We regret your thoughts about our restaurant because all of our team strives to provide the best service possible. This opinion contrast with the reviews that we have received commonly. Our chef and waitresses had enough knowlegde to offer and try to have an excellent care with all the customers. We are thankfully about your sincerity and you can have... More

In the sheer enjoyment of finding a restaurant with good food my wife and I went here two days in a row. At first we were a bit dubious as it doesn't look like much from the outside, however, the further up we went up the stairs the more promising it became. The warm greeting we received upon entering gave... More

Good food in astylish environment in Miramar. Loved the food and atmosphere. Not a cheap place to eat but well worth it.

After staying 3 days in Havana and finding nowhere which served decent food we were absolutely delighted to discover this place after being recommended it by our Casa owner. My girlfriend is a vegetarian and the menu's in Cuba don't really understand the meaning of this! However, at La Guarida they had an adequate selection of vegetarian meals and the... More

La Guarida is a Cuban restaurant and is located in a classic neighborhood. In the second floor of an old crumbling mansion this restaurant offers high quality food and service. The atmosphere and the interiors are stunning. Approximatelly 20-25$ per person.

You have to visit this restaurant! The building is incredible. Incredible the contrast between the poor men on the street and the wealth you get in the restaurant. Decadent, but affordable and simply the best food you will get in Havana!
