Great seafood

We loved our lobster and pumpkin? soup but the best part was watching how hard the staff worked. They were zipping around to attend to their guests. The restaurant is quaint; we enjoyed sitting in the back area near the kitchen/bar. Lots of kitschy clocks. We ate in a few government restaurants and... read more

We went here for a birthday dinner. We had homemade bread and the calabaza soup to start. For our entrees we had the "Ropa Vieja", which is shredded beef with sweet potato plank fries as a garnish. We each also ordered a plate of stir-fried vegetables. One plate of vegetables to share would have been enough, as each portion filled... More

The quality of the food, its presentation and the charming atmosphere of this privately run restaurant surpassed the 10 others we visited in Havana. Great seafood, warm efficient service.

If you are looking for an authentic paladar, Decameron fits the bill. No reception area but there are two dining areas so request the back room which is very quaint. A broad selection of options on the menu. Great seafood and service. Excellent wine list. The staff makes you feel right at home. The owner even went out on the... More

Wonderful food. I had the duck confit (mouthwatering), my adult son had a steak (perfectly cooked). Attentive service and reasonably priced.

Although I agree with other reviewers that the reception area is nonexistent and makes for rather uncomfortable waiting, It must also be said that the quality of both for and service amply make up for any initial discomfort. Havana is still a place with all kinds of shortages so the wide variety on offer at Decameron make this restaurant a... More

Restaurante Paladar Decameron is in the center where i went here easily from my hotel. Both food and drink were fine. Staff treated us very well.

We had our best meal here during two weeks in Havana. Most Cuban food is very bland but here our meals were well spiced. In one of the two small rooms decorated with an interesting mishmash of artifacts, I had the misnamed lobster enchilada dinner (no sign of any enchiladas) while my husband had an excellent grilled red snapper. We... More

We had a lovely meal at Paladar Decameron in November, 2014. The decor is interesting and cozy. We are both vegetarians and they had great options for us. The cheese soup and basil pasta are highly recommended. Our waiter was extremely nice. He stood outside on a very rainy day for at least twenty minutes to hail us a taxi!
