Of all the restaurants we had in Cuba, this was by far our favourite. The food, the service, the view and the price. Highly recommend it!

We stopped in at the Castropol while strolling along the Malecon. The décor was very welcoming, as was the waiter at the entrance who was trying to drum up business. We asked to sit on the terrace upstairs - what a great view! Service was attentive. There were many items on the menu. I had pork tenderloins in a honey... More

We visited this place during our previous visit about 4 years ago. We decided to give it another chance and were very happy we did, because we could finally eat something different than the staple lobster or shrimps everyone offers in Cuba (I wonder whether these are caught around the island or imported from China, like so much other food... I visit Castropol for 5 years now, and it never disappoints me. Their food, service and quality is always reliable. Not so obvious in Cuba...but they seem to manage it!

during my stay in Havana the owner of Casa Particular we've stayed in reccomended me this restaurant for a dinner. The food was that good that we came back there twice and we tried some delicious meals both on the groundfloor and first floor (the whole 'Sociedad' is apparently divided in two different restaurants. Highly reccomended!

This restaurant was indicated by our guest house in Havana. We went there only for "tapas" (we asked for starters instead of meal) and good drinks. Food was great. Best octopus!! Good wine and cold beer

We normally don't go to the same restaurants when travelling so we try as many new things as possible but we just couldn't help ourselves and went to Castropol for dinner every night of our 4 days stay in Havana :-) The restaurant has a terrace with sea view and great selection of mouthwatering dishes for a good price (considering... Downstairs is less formal and the food is Cuban, upstairs is smarter, and there is a balcony overlooking the Malecon (book if you want to be sure of a table outside) and more "international" food. We ate there several times and were very happy.

Castropol is a nice spot for dinner. The food is good and the portions are decent. The service is a little off but it was a Monday night. We sat on the balcony with a great view of the ocean. This restaurant is worth a visit. The menu has a wide selection, and the prices are average for this type... More

Castropol is the best restaurant that I've eaten at in Cuba. The food and the service are top quality, and the prices are not too high.
