We have been 3 times to La Roca. The first to times they told us, that the dinner for to means, that the price in the menu is for both. On the third evening they told us...no this is just the price for one! Be careful!!!! They have good food and cocktails for a good price. I would recomend the... More

Not haute cuisine, but solid Cuban fare, competitively priced. And very good mojitos for 2 CUC! We came back a second night just for drinks in the bar and enjoyed the non-touristy atmosphere there.

The gastronomic experience is the following: breaded meat with LOTS of oil and bland taste. They don't offer any fresh juice nor anything other than the canned drinks. Price is affordable but even too high for the quality of the food. The AC is on constantly providing a 16 Celsius all the time. No toilet paper...

Great restaurant for excellent value. Massive sandwiches and burgers for 2-3 CUC and set meals including 1 drink and dessert for less than 5 CUC. We stayed in a hotel close by for 1 night and went to La Roca 3 times. :)

Previously one of our favourite restaurants in the city, La Roca has undergone some changes which left us scratching our heads... and walking out the door. We normally eat here every year, as it is near the hotel where we usually stay. This time, we walked in to find the decor completely changed. The place is now dark and cramped,... More

The fact that there are usually more Cubans than tourists speaks to the value of this restaurant. The menu is extensive and the prices are unbeatable. Lineups after 7 but you can always get a seat in the bar while you wait for your table. Eat well for $6 CUC, including a drink.

For less than the equivalent of 5 US dollars, we got a meal that was large and filling. It was a good variety of Cuban food, and along with the entree, a drink and dessert were also included in the price of the meal. Located right up the street from the National Hotel of Cuba, it was easy to walk... More

This restaurant has superb cuisine. The Seafood Paella was spectacular. If you are a moderate eater on dish is enough for two. It is truly a REST-a-urant. Meaning, it will take 2 hours at your table enjoying your meal. There is a "Maestro" pianist playing classical music while you dine. No need to eat fast and leave. Well worth it.

La Roca was recommended to us by our Cuban hosts for a traditional Cuban meal and setting - and we were not disappointed. Very good food with a number of local specialties, room for a large group and a comfortable atmosphere. Having locals with and speaking Spanish helps but all in all very accomodating and good value, especially with the... More

My Husband and I ate at La Roca on the first night of our honeymoon. We ordered Lobster Thermidor, which at the time seemed brilliant and a fantastic price - 14CUC. However, the following day my husband and I felt unwell. I was ill for 1 day, and my husband for 7 days. He had to see the doctor and... More
