The food is not brilliant but this place deserve a lot of attention because of it's good service and very stylish architecture. Worth stopping for lunch!

One doesn’t go to El Jardin Del Oriente for the food but for the lovely outdoor ambience. The food prices are very inexpensive and I particularly like their simple dishes like the bruschetta which is about 1 CUC. The mojitos are nice, the cats a delight and the patio restaurant is very attractive. Rain or sun, the patio umbrellas protect... More

This is a lovely cafe in San Franciso Square. We went in for an evening meal when we stayed in Havana and were pleased we did one of the best meals we had during our holiday. The food was excellent, nice surroundings and the staff were lovely very helpful and smiley so if you are in Havana go visit it... More

This is one of the most beautiful restaurants in old Havana. The wine list is also the best we saw on our trip. However, the food was just okay and the service bordered on rude. We wondered if we had offended the waiter because he did not offer us dessert and almost threw the bill on the table. Every place... More

The location of this restaurant on the Plaza de San Francisco and its historic architecture looked promising. The food was a different story. Our table had a variety of menu items but all agreed the food was disappointingly pedestrian.

We were booked for dinner as a part of our tour so the selection was limited to one item, a chicken breast with the normal beans and rice. Appetizer was a tuna cappicio which was the only decent item of the meal. The chicken breast was overcooked and tough and had probably been sitting in the kitchen for time. No... More

A very pleasant al fresco cafe. Prices are low and the food pleasant. Just what you need for a snack or small meal. It was recommended to us by local people and we went back.

We've been to cafe del oriente for lunch and the place is very beautiful, a 50's building. Service is excellent, drinks were good and their wine list is impressive for cuban standards. The food, although, didn't impress us: I chose pork meat and it was too hard and grease. The shrimp was really good. All in all, considering the price,... More

Entered to see the interior and remained- cosy and fresh inside with a relaxing and refined touch, piano playing; good food( cuban, but also some international dishes); state owned, but good service. Clean everywhere, waiter even forgot to add the wine on the bill. All in all , worth a try compared to other locations.

Beautiful surroundings, great food, wonderful service. Bring bags of money. Remember this far U. S. issued credit cards not accepted.
