We were booked for dinner as a part of our tour so the selection was limited to one item, a chicken breast with the normal beans and rice. Appetizer was a tuna cappicio which was the only decent item of the meal. The chicken breast was overcooked and tough and had probably been sitting in the kitchen for time. No... More

A very pleasant al fresco cafe. Prices are low and the food pleasant. Just what you need for a snack or small meal. It was recommended to us by local people and we went back.

We've been to cafe del oriente for lunch and the place is very beautiful, a 50's building. Service is excellent, drinks were good and their wine list is impressive for cuban standards. The food, although, didn't impress us: I chose pork meat and it was too hard and grease. The shrimp was really good. All in all, considering the price,... More

Entered to see the interior and remained- cosy and fresh inside with a relaxing and refined touch, piano playing; good food( cuban, but also some international dishes); state owned, but good service. Clean everywhere, waiter even forgot to add the wine on the bill. All in all , worth a try compared to other locations.

Beautiful surroundings, great food, wonderful service. Bring bags of money. Remember this far U. S. issued credit cards not accepted.

Not sure if this is the place because the restaurant I went to is called "Jardin" del Oriente . Basically I was shamelessly robbed there a few days ago . We were a group of 7 and sat with a video camera pointing straight at our table . The waiter came to take our drink order within 20 minutes of... More

I visited this place 2 times. Looks are great and servers know their job well. Both times however the food was not up to high standards. Served at below proper temperatures and one time the fish had a bad smell. If things are good this is the place. If bad, it can be very disappointing. One rules always goes......Serve your... More

The cafe del oriente won't break the bank but there are far cheaper and better options in Havana. Their non-Cuban food is tasty although at times the dressing/plating of the food was slightly odd. If you don't mind spending a bit more and you are missing western food then this should be a good option for you.

Good professional staff. Good standard restaurant upstairs or down. A group of us had lobster, red snapper or chicken, all of which were a high standard. Cocktails good and reasonably priced. Live jazz-ish / easy-listening band.

Let's not waist a essay on this place, but here are some bullit pointts: A cleaner washed the floor not 1 foot from away from us during dinner, twice. We asked four times (40min) for coffee. The apetizer and dinner was below ok. But the price was incredible. Incredibly expensive. Do not visit this place!
