We got a table overlooking the bay and the Jesus Statue. We ordered the beef and it came with bread a soup first. The bread was dry and the soup had a strange brownish color and an equally strange feel and smell. I couldn’t even make myself taste it. The beef was tasteless and cold. We paid almost 40 CUC... You don't go to Cuba in search of haute cuisine, but by local standards the food here was pretty decent. What really made the place stand out, though, was the location - a roof-top on the edge of Old Havana - and the staff whose chat was brilliant. For instance: (Me) "Do you have any Cuba wines?" (Waiter) "Sir, let... More

Something must have changed because the food was nasty--garlic shrimp--and super duper expensive. We ate in lovely restaurants in Havana with world class food for way, way less than our pathetic lunch at La Moneda Cubana. Our guide took us here on our first day so we didn't have a sense of the value of the CUC yet, if we... More

We enjoyed the well prepared seafood dish. The service was very friendly and the live music excellent. Is well worth a visit.

Located in Old Havana it is usually fool of tourists but the service is good although the waiters are running all the time. The food was tasty (lobster and grilled fish), the vegetable soup as starter was not so good by they serve it either you ask for it or not. Generally in Cuba they are very generous with the... More

First day of a 15 day family holidays around Cuba and this place was recommended whilst on an excellent private walking tour around the old town. After climbing a very steep and narrow staircase the views across the entrance to the port are stunning - especially towards the statute of Jesus. The menu offers simple fare - and the food... More

The rooftop dining room in this restaurant (which is definitely worth the climb for its view) is not its only dining room, but the other , more traditional "tablecloth" room also requires patrons to climb at least one set of narrow stairs. Everyone here is fortunately patient, so if stairs are a challenge but not an insurmountable obstacle, try to... More

We were recommended this restaurant as being 'the best' in Havana. We booked a table for 10 people on the rooftop terrace. Service was slow and we waited 30 minutes for our wine (it arrived in 15 minutes then we waited another 15 minutes for the waiter to open it). The menu was simple to read and mouth watering. Unfortunately... More

This restaurant was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. It's very quaint and in a great location in old town however I had a few issues. First, those that are elderly or have problems with knees, beware, it's up about 3 flights of a narrow staircase before you make it to their patio which we were directed to despite... More

I went to this restaurant as it was recommended by our tour guide, and by word it was that was the best tip of my whole holiday. This restaurant is based upstairs, on the rooftop and is really has quite a spectacular atmosphere. The setting is perfect for large groups, couples or even a family with live entertainment all night.... More
