Pleasant in the old town

After several disappointing experiences in Cuba, it was a pleasure to dine at this restaurant. We were seated at the roof terrace with wonderful views of both the old town and the sea. The food, though not quite stunning, was a lot better than the average cuban restaurant fare.

I highly recommend this place for Ropa Vieja, lobster, and rooftop dining. Our waiter was excellent- very polished, accommodating, and professional. The prices were high, so this is clearly a tourist trap, but I would recommend it to anyone visiting Havana.

From the outside this place looks great. From within aside from the flies and surly staff it looks great. The roof terrace offers lovely views. The drinks are offered reluctantly unless you also order food and are served in warm glasses, a poor touch in a hot climate. The band love pushing their CD on you and this all makes... More

We went here our first night with our group tour and had sticker shock. We had arrived a few days early and already been to a few restaurants in Havana. The cheapest meal on the menu was 18 CUCs! Granted, the rooftop view was incredible and that's what you're paying for. It wouldn't have been too bad if the food... More

We just wanted to stop here for a drink on the rooftop as it looked delightful from the ground. How stupid we were. Entering the stairwell there was a disgusting stench with a bunch of flies buzzing around. Should have left straight away. Silly us. Upon entering the rooftop we told the waiter that we would like a table for... More

We had a great dinner (not too cheap). We were a large group. They sat us in a great AC room (one of the few in havana) We enjoyed so much that 2 of us returned 4 days later and puf! All the memories were erased. No AC that day and food that seem was left over from before. So... More

I am not going to write home about the food here. The food was a tad over cooked no matter what you ordered. Considering how difficult it is to get food in Cuba, they are doing a great job with what they can. The staff is great, the setting is gorgeous.

On the way up the stairs the separate dining rooms are inviting and fit the price, once to the roof top the views are perfect but unfortunately that's where it stops. Dinner for two and bottle wine will set you back $90-$100 CUC, which includes mandatory 10% tip which is added to bill. The food selection is limited and the... More

Enjoyed a lovely meal of mixed fish on the roof terrace. The meal was very good as was the wine and the entertainment. Sadly, once were served and had you main course we were forgotten about. This is Cuba and standards are what you would normally expect in more developed counties. The saving grace was that the food was very... More

This was a good experience all the way from the dressed up man at the street level wishing us welcome. He recognised us even though we had not been here for about 1,5 years! They organised for us a table with a nice view at the rooftop. The restaurant does not have a very comprehensive menu as you can choose... More
