Had lunch on the terrace overlooking what Cubans call the canal or harbour/river mouth. Service was impeccable. Had lobster beautifully cooked and presented. The restaurant was recommended by our local guide and it was a good choice. As elsewhere live music to entertain. If ever again in Cuba would return here first.

We went to La Moneda Cubana in our last day in Havana and I couldn't have imagined a better farewell. This restaurant is situated in the third floor of the building, in a terrace in the rooftop. First thing I liked is they had music, but just a boy playing famous cuban songs with his guitar (which if you have... More

Recommended by our hotel, we arrived an evening after a heavy thunderstorm and were seated at a table on the terrace which was being busily swept and cleaned after the rain. With views over different areas of old Havana, the setting is ideal and a musician soon arrived to accompany his good voice on his guitar - a welcome change... More

We had our lunch at this restaurant upon recommendation by our guide, who said that this is a good place to try out a meal at a restaurant that is 50% owned by government and 50% privately owned. My husband had lobster and I had chicken. My husband's lobster was really fresh and nicely done, well worth the CUC 22... More

I will tell you. I have been to this restaurant 9 times in the last 18 months bringing groups of 3-12 people each time. The ambiance is amazing. There is an inside level as well as a double rooftop level. There used to be a package menu and an a-la-carte menu, however they recently changed to an a-la-carte menu only.... More

Our hotel recommended this place and made us a booking, otherwise we would have left as soon as we saw it. I thought a paladar was supposed to be a private house but this was just a tourist trap restaurant. You had to have the set meal. We thought it was very expensive - and we are Londoners! The soup... The guy at the entrance told us that there were empty tables on the terrace. We would not have to order the menu but could have something like starters or smaller dishes. We went up to the terrace, waited for about 20 min to be seated at an emptied table, just to be informed that on the terrace we could... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and I expect everyone else there was also advised by their hotel or tour guide. The biggest problem is the food - poor by any standard. They only do set menus so if you don't have a large appetite you still have to pay for three courses. The prices are way beyond what... More

Came here for our first group evening meal on our Explore holiday to Cuba. The restaurant is situated close to the cathedral. Its big attraction is the rooftop terrace where you can sit out with views over the harbour. We had one of the set meals which are popular with groups. I had vegetable soup followed by fish with lime... More

When we say down at the table both myself and my mothers plates were dirty , after water was poured into my glass there was dirt floating in it , I would never recommend anyone to go there .
