Freshest Roated Coffee Beans in Havana

I always try and stop for a coffee here when in Havana Vieja and always buy my beans here to bring home. They have only 2 small roasters in the corner and pack all their fresh roasted beans by hand in brown paper sacks, so QUEUES of 30 minutes are usual with the longer ones on weekends. HINT: Bring... read more

This is my second time on El Escorial, the first time,i recognize that was full of people, and I believed the bad services was product of this. Yesterday on my second visit to El Escorial, that by the way are located in a very good place on La Habana Vieja, perhaps we were about 5 people in place, and the... More

This place is located in the Plaza Vieja, and it's very lovely. Their prices are very reasonable. Excellent Cafe Con Leche and very good desserts. They also sell their own roasted coffee at reasonable prices. Get the milkshake - very good!

Located in one of the most beautiful places in La Habana, La Plaza Vieja, this place offers a lot of options for having a nice coffee just after lunch or just take a pause on you walk throughout the city.

My husband and I went twice to Cafe El Escorial. The first time, the staff was apathetic with slow service and our coffees were terrible. The second time we went (begrudgingly, because it was 9 am and the cafe we wanted to go to didn't open until 10), everything was much better. The server was prompt and friendly, and our... More

Visited cafe a couple of times for breakfast - our Havana guide Miron told us to come as they serve the best coffee in Havana and he was right! Ham and cheese toastie was good as well!

This is one of my favourite places in Havana. We had coffee and snacks several times since we loved the location. The coffee is good but the waitress was very rude. We only saw her twice. The others working there are fine. Try the coffee, the cold fresh lemonade, the tuna sandwich and the delicious empanada!

a great find for good coffee. The aroma of freshly ground coffee flows out of the cafe. They make the best coffee in Havana.

Sadly this place has extremely rude and impatient staff - experienced on both the occasions I was there. My waitress completely disappeared, never to be seen again, and the water I was desperate for was not in sight 30 minutes later. I left. :-( Cannot recommend.
