Although I waited 2 hours for my two 250 gram bags of freshly ground coffee, I am drinking it now and it is fantastic! I spoke to a local who was in line with me yesterday and he said he usually stands in line at 7:30 am to make sure he doesn't miss out on their coffee which opens at... More

The smell of coffee was the first thin we noticed as we came out of the family's home on to the square - felt like heaven sitting with an espresso on one of the best plazas in the world

You can't beat the view this little cafe has of Plaza Vieja. You'll find it on the northeastern corner of the Plaza on the same side as the Planetario and the Camara Obscura building. Prices are very reasonable and the pastries are good.

Situated in a corner of one of the squares in the old city not only is it a great place to just sit and people watch, but the coffee is fantastic! 1CUC for a coffee. You can also buy roasted and ground coffee, roasted and ground on site. We went on a Saturday and all the locals were coming and... More

The terrasse offers a magnificent view on the Plaza Vieja. We drank a great ice coffee there. Way too sweet (even if my Mexican girlfriend did ask without sugar) but still, the taste was great, like a delicious coffee dessert. They roast coffee inside, we bought ground and unground coffee. Back in Canada I grounded some beans for our Bodum... More

Situated on corner of San Francisco square Cubans queue to buy their coffee beans here. Best coffee con leche I had in cuba and my husband had a great espresso macchiato. Also worth having lunch here as sandwiches are delicious

Great spot on Plaza Vieja where you can spend a great time people watching. Coffee is good although the staff were fairly grumpy most days. The queue seems to be for buying ground coffee or beans so don't be put off, as long as there is a table free outside you can sit down.

Very nice atmosphere, friendly waiters and I had an amazing coffee with mint, rum, ice cream and milk! To die for! Had to return again the next day just so I can have two more!
