Good for oven baked thin crust pizza.Suitable choices for vegetarians available. Good service. A good place for people watching when it is busy later in the evening, italian tourists, cubanas with their dates, canadians, spanish language teachers with their nothamerican students, like the cubans do, we guess where they are from.

Our pizzas were all very good - large, thin crusts, nice toppings, and served very hot. The problem was that the advertised pizzas on the menu weren't available and we found we had to choose from a very limited list. The wine list was quite short but had some reasonably priced Chiliean reds, from which we chose a pleasant bottle.... More

Maybe I should have tried the pizza, but I opted for pasta (pizza is everywhere!) and a mozzarella salad. Both were bad, but the mozzarella wasn't even mozzarella! Some smelly hard cheese. Inedible. The waiter was nice, but the barwoman kept frowning at us after my daughter broke a salt shaker. I would have happily paid to replace it, but... More

I ate twice at this restaurant. The first time, the pizza was not too bad, thin crust, cheese that doesn't taste anything (at least, not bad) but the second time, I ordered a spagetti. Just awful. The pasta weren't al dente, they weren't cook enough. The parmesan looked like glue and taste like soap. I know that you don't go... More

We sought this Italian out having read about it in the guidebook we were using during our stay in Havana. It seemed like the best option within walking distance of the hotel and was worth a shot. Can't say it was the best food I've ever had, but definitely filled a whole and as far as Cuban food goes was... More

And I say that with tongue in cheek. There is probably no such thing as a good Cuban pizza. but if there was, this place would probably be the best place to get it. Thin crust and covered with a decent amount of toppings and cheese- it filled the void and satisfied a craving until I could get back home... More

After too many slices of dodgy peso pizza (mushy, focaccia-style crust, sour cheese), all I was looking for was a pizza with a thin crust. Verdict: Success! The dining room is austere to the point of being severe (and air-conditioned to the point of being icy), but the service is refreshingly professional and the food is about as close as... More

Went here a few days ago for lunch, I am actually quite impressed with this place, my wife and I actually enjoyed the food quite a bit, The pasta and pizza we ordered were actually quite good and the prices were very reasonable. The decor is not the greatest and there is not much lighting but other than that I... More

We were really looking forward to dining here having read a couple of very favourable reports on other sites. Unfortunately our experience was not positive. The pizza was very salty and the Carbonara was dry and lacked cream. The Lasagne was OK, but still one of the most inferior I’ve tasted in a restauarant , devoid of any tomato taste.... More

Marakas will barely cure your cravings for Italian food. We went here twice in late November 2009. Shocked to see that their "cheap" bottle of red wine was 18CUC! Instead we had a few beers. The food was just adequate. Over our two trips we had the pizza and various pasta dishes. Nothing really positive or negative to say about... More
