Best Dancers in Havana

The food is pretty good, The ambiance is great and the dancers are something to behold. It is a high energy place and you will enjoy these dancers. Yes they may invite you up to dance so do not hesitate to get with it. The salsa band is really good and you will find yourself feeling the music!

We went and had the dinner. I think we paid 50 CUC each and the dinner was great. Lobster, shrimp, rice and veggies. We ordered a bottle of Vino Tinto (Spanish red) for about the equivalent of $20USD. We had front row seats! The BVSC is an impressive group comprised of various vocalists, dancers, percussion and horns. Their energy makes... More

Experiencing the Buena Vista Social is probably high on the list of most tourists and Cafe Taberna is the closest you are probably going to get to the real thing. It is a good evening, lively music if a somewhat contrived atmosphere but the food is pretty grim - eat first and enjoy the daiquiris and the show. There was... More

Although the performers (well most of them) looked as if they had been in Cocoon, they were produced wonderful music. We didn't eat here but saw some of the meals coming out, they looked fine. We had a drink/entrance deal which suited us well. Very quickly people were up and dancing and involved in the performance. Larger ladies needed to... More

Like others, I didn't eat here (so no comment on the food), but really am reviewing the Buena Vista Social Club who were performing, with guests, thoughout August. We arrived, four of us, on our first night in Havana, not knowing the identity of the band we'd booked to see. Amazing to find ourselves at possibly the best table at... More

Ironically we didn't even eat in the restaurant and what I'm really reviewing is the Buena Vista Social Club and how this place presents them. We went as a family with a couple of 20'somethings, 50'something and 13/14 year old boys. Everyone save the oldest were not really keen to come along. But a certain amount of "grumpy old man"-ishness... More

The 5 stars relate to lithe whole evening as we didn't have the meal. 30 CUC entrance included drinks and it was a fantastic night - how Havana should be. Chilled music, dancing, some drinks and a great ambiance. Can't say much more, would definitely recommend.

This is the best spot to enjoy Buena Vista Social Club music with a 10+ member band and a great location right in the heart of Havana Vieja. I purchased my tickets the day of the show at my hotel for 30 CUC, which includes 3 drinks (Mojito, Cubalibre, beer, etc.). The group started at 9:45 and was done by... More

We opted for a night out at Cafe Taberna cos truth be told, we were on our second last night in Cuba and by that time, we had already run out of mostly cash / CUCs. Seeing as we would not have to spend on taxi fare going out to casa de la musica (we could walk to Cafe Taberna... More

Loved the atmosphere and music here, although once away from Havana felt we got more authentic atmosphere elsewhere. I really enjoyed it but the food was very poor given we had paid 50CUC per person (which did include 3 mohitos). No need to dine so I would suggest you just go and dance and drink and skip the food.
