If you are staying in a hotel near (or in) the old town of Havana, beware, the taxi fare to this and other restaurants in Miramar, will set you back at least 10 cuds (each way) which is approx. equivalent in dllrs/euros. Also, our taxi driver had to ask twice before he found the restaurant so take a map to... More

La Fontana ended up being a last minute booking for dinner as our first choice fell through, something which at the time we regretted but that didn't last for long. Great service (even though our waitress apologised for her English) which we thought it was excellent. Wonderful live music from a traditional Cuban group and then there was the food... More

I was in Cuba in May 2014 to watch my son complete in an athletic championship in Havana as a member of the United States team. I was introduced by my son's coach to Ernesto, a hard working 46 year old guy who started La Fontana in the 90's when Cuba allowed privatization. He opened with three tables and twelve... More

Been a regular customer from my years living in Havana. Would always bring all friends visiting and my business associates on a regular basis. These guys know about great food, wines and very important, how to treat customers right! All the best for you guys and hope to enjoy your great food on my next trip to Havana.

We stopped for lunch yesterday and couldn't more pleased. Our food was excellent and the staff was super attentive. La Fontana is in a nice neighborhood and is surrounded by lush vegetation. Very comfortable atmosphere, never rushed.

It was nice to finally eat seafood in Cuba. This is a lovely Paladar in the Embassy District and they prepared delightful salads as well as a wonderful paella. The service was excellent and as we were on tour it was nice to dine at a smaller table and get to know some of our fellow travelers. Would recommend for... More

I was with the Tauck Tour People to People cultural exchange group. I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience, the paladar was lovely. The food was delicious and the service top notch. I especially enjoyed the two young ladies who quietly entertained us during our meal. I would recommend this paladar to anyone consider a visit to Cuba. Eloise
