Decent place. Don't believe all the over-billing stories

Stopped in here for a few cold beers on a hot day in Havana (is there any other kind of day?) It's a nice place, with reasonable service, and good food. Prices are a little high for Havana, and *very* high for Cuba in general. Don't believe all the stories about the waiters trying to rip... read more

As we walked away from the plaza, we followed the live Cuban music and decided to take a break from sight seeing and enjoy the music. This is a nice place to enjoy a cooling mojito and great bands. We didn't order food, just drinks and danced. The staff were all welcoming, including our waiter. "El Papito," was very hospitable... More

Good service and a nice place if you want to listen to good bands. The food is ok and the drinks are great. Bands were playing every night. A place for both locals and turists.

In Havana ... an exciting and challenging city... we came across Bar Monserrate (just near the famous Floridita Bar) on Monserrate Street ... which was such a lovely oasis. The Head Waiter was a sweetie; friendly, humorous, and efficient. We ate well in comfort, listened to their excellent live salsa music, and watched the street scene through the open sides... More

This Bar is magnificent. Excellent and fresh food. The bar tenders are very professional. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Live Music is excellent. We had a great time with family and friends. The bartender Ramon is the best of the Old Havana preparing Cuban and International Cocktails. Whit him you can talk the issue that you may wish, soccer, politics, history, music. More than... More

We visited here twice whilst in Havana. Once in the afternoon and once in the evening. The band playing here were great, getting people up dancing and really involving the whole place. The Cristal beer was served ice cold and in pint glasses! Just the job in the heat of this city. The staff were friendly and really engaged with... More

Like a lot of people are saying here this bar will rip you off. 6 pina coladas which were advertised on chalk board as 4 cuc each, 24 total were charged to us at 33 cuc. English speaking waiter all of a sudden barely spoke English. Spoiled the end of a good night. Shameless behaviour. They will not change I... More

What a gem of a find. The band was full of soul and the beautiful lady singer sang from her heart right to you personally, we felt. The huge Cuban boxing champion as door man was such a beautiful specimen of a man that I couldn't take my eyes off him. I loved this place. Someone told me he was... More

We were delated to enjoy the music of Son D'anjá those guys really made our first day in Havana. Really enjoyed to listen to them. The place is right in the middle of Old Havana so is nice to have a sit to rest after the hot days in there. Just make sure you ask the prices before you order.
