I go to Havana about 5-6 times a year and every time I take some Cuban friends to Los Nardos for dinner. My girlfriend and I like the downtown location, we usually order the same thing camerones and the cordon blue chicken. We are very happy with the restaurant. Some people might think that the service could be more prompt... more

We had lunch at Los Nardos on 14thNov. 2009 after reading good reports in travel books and on internet.. We also asked the staff at our hotel about it and other Cubans that we met. All gave it a good review. We were not disappointed. The line -up took 40 minutes to clear but we enjoyed the experience of speaking... more

On our last night in Havana (Nov 26, 2009) we decided to have a nice meal in a nice restaurant. We were recommended by a friend to try Los Nardos.....What a mistake! I can honestly say that this was the worst meal I have had anywhere in the world!! We tried the speciality of the house, a platter of everything,... more

A good place, with a serviced that it is difficult to find in Cuba. A lot of seafood and meat are a la carte and the service is excellent. Maybe the entrance is not very chic but it's a good value. more

Food in Cuba is a bit of a gamble, they just have many limitations in their availability of ingredients and the quality of food in general. We have been to very expensive meals of over $70 CUC per person and one's for $10 CUC (on 3 different trips to Havana) and price does not really equate to quality or service... more

This restaurant came highly recommended by a few people, including our rep so we gave it a try. There was a bit of a wait for a table as it was very busy - popular place. While the food wasn't anything outstanding (Cuba isn't known for its culinary excellence) it was the best meal we had our entire holiday. The... more

We ate here having arrived for the first night in Havana. We didn't have to wait long for a table and the food was pretty acceptable. It was recommended by the Casa owner. Had to look hard for it as it's a bit tucked away. We realised 2 weeks later how good it actually was having eaten in a few... more

I am quite surprised by the negative comments about Los Nardos as we had a fantastic meal when we visted better than La Guarida and half the price. Yes its dark with no windows with an odd selection of football memorabila. The menu was not available in English and our waiter could not speak English but we still took his... more

I went to this restaurant im june 2009 following the good reviews on Trip Advisor and the forums. I have to say that I was very disappointed. The restaurant is very dark inside which I think was an atempt to create an ambiance. The service was good but they seemed keen on getting you to spend as much as possible.... more
