Very good Cuban food

We ate here our last night in Havana. Very popular local restaurant with mostly local (not tourist) patrons. Very large menu with variety of chicken, seafood, beef and pork dishes. Decent wine list and all very moderately priced. Dinner for four with a bottle of wine and tip was $40. And we ate... read more

This is a restaurant for a casual evening; since it has no windows, it is not a good idea to have lunch there. Food is good and abundant, the service is much better than the average in Cuba.

I have to say, the one starter we shared for lunch was very good and very large and filling. However, although Cubans eat here, do not imagine you will feel like you're in Cuba because of that! The restaurant had no atmosphere at all, it is dark with no windows. I imagine if you were staying a week in Habana... More

Our group of nine turned out to be twelve at the last minute yet the host did not bat an eye and found another table to add; seating us quickly and efficiently. The menu is vast, featuring many Spanish favorites (paella) in addition to Cuban fare. The drinks were outstanding, the bread basket inventive with many different types of bread... More

Los Nardos is located on the second floor. The is often a queue outside as it is busy with locals and tourists alike. Make sure you get in the right queue as there are a few restaurants in that building and they leave a lot to be desired. The food was great and very reasonably priced, they make a great... More

Los Nardos had been recommended to us as cheap and with excellent quality food, by someone who comes here regularly with Cuban friends. The place was very dark - no windows to the outside world, but the decor was nice and the air-con extremely efficient. The portions were huge, but the food was average. The waiters were disinterested in us until... More

Great prices, good portions, good location, good atmosphere just don't sit near the piano (which is also beside the squeaking swing/seat that kids love to make creak) Only thing is if you do not want the bread with bit of condiments they bring in the beginning say no. It is $1.50 per person and it looked as though the bread... More

We went to this Restaurant because it was mentioned in Le Routard guide as correct one in La Havana... I was very disappointed by the food. We had shrimps in a creamy sauce (apparently only Crème fraîche and cheese) but the smell of the dish was so awful we just tasted a bite. We're sure that shrimps were not fresh... More

The menu was very appealing for both Lunch and Dinner. I had a light meal of sautéed vegetables, poppa fritas (French fries) and the most delicious Caramel covered Flan ever! The wait staff were very helpful and efficient and the place was elaborate. Very reasonable prices and wonderfully prepared meals and drinks. I would recommend this restaurant highly.

We actually had to wait in line for about half an hour to get in here and with 2 hungry kids, that was not fun, however it was totally worth it. It was a unique experience but the service was excellent and the meals were enormous! We ordered the fried chicken and we each got about 3/4 of a chicken!... More
