We liked this place but... I ordered something listed as traditional Cuban - tamal. It turned out to be maize mush with a few pieces of pork and prettty awful. My companion's mountain of fried shrimp was plenty for both of us. I don't like being charged for things I don't order - water and... read more

My companion's mountain of fried shrimp was plenty for both of us. I don't like being charged for things I don't order - water and bread, for instance. So this... More

We were recommended Los Nardos when we arrived in Havana. We went there for lunch, but as it is a fairly dark place - they had to light the candle on the table so that we could read the menu - we would recommend it for the evening more than lunch. The decoration is quite a treat in itself, carved... More

Unable to dine there on our first attempt due to the long queue but we made a second attempt with greater success. Loved the dark ambience with heavy wooden furniture and wine casks reminiscent of old Spain. Some may find the extensive menu great but my suggestion to the restaurant would be to pare it back and increase the quality.... More

Make sure to get there early for dinner. There is long line. The food is served in large portions so make sure to get a Togo box and hand it to one of the cuban's standing there waiting for tourist to hand food to them. Anyone would be grateful.

Have to said that its not the best place to eat in havana but well deserve a visit. Decoration its good, service its great, we expend a good time over there. Food overall was good, big disappointment was "the tamal en casuela" but the fisherman plate was better. Sangria its great but mojito just ok. Prices are fine and they... More

We read about this restaurant in the lonely planet and decided to follow that recommendation, despite the massive line up outside. If you do want to eat here, don't be discouraged by the line if you do come early, it does move relatively quickly. Once inside, we waited a short time for a table. When the host came for to... The food was excellent, the portions were huge and the ambiance made for a lovely candle lit dinner. Prices were very reasonable and the location is very central, I highly recommend this place!

We were actually told that there were four restaurants but only ate at the Mediterranean on the ground floor. Had one lunch and a supper here. Same menu for both. Tables nicely set and wait staff well dressed. Considering the ambiance and level of service the prices were excellent. Food was really tasty but as in other restaurants in Cuba... More

Three restaurants in once place. Three lines, so make sure you ask which line is which. Los nardos has great ambiance-dark wood, candlelight, flutist, piano player. Their menu has a big selection and great prices. The service is attentive, and they don't try to hurry you, which is nice considering how long you might have waited to get a table.... More

You will want to arrive early, as the wait for these restaurants is very long. The line on the right side is for the seafood restaurant where my wife and I ate. The atmosphere/decor is impressive and we were seated at a candlelit table. I ordered the lobster and received well over a half a pound! It was worth the... More
