Best Restaurant Ever

Received this recommendation from a friend in Bonaire. I've been to many fine restaurants in the states and this is a fine 'gastrique' location. Frankly, ate at the bar because we didn't have a reservation, REQUIRED MY FRIENDS, for a table. Everything was the same. FANTASTIC. We chose the... read more

Make reservations!! This restaurant was full every night we were there. I am so glad we made reservations ahead of time. The restaurant does not sit directly on the beach, but is in the harbor overlooking the water. We chose the 4 course surprise menu from the chef, and every plate was delicious! This was definitely the best meal we... More

WE stumbled across At Sea by accident in our first week on Bonaire and we weren't disappointed. The food and ambience were fantastic, and the amuse bouche was a real surprise as was the presentation of the bread. On this basis we booked a 'surprise' meal for the following week (a 4 course menu chosen by the chef and which... More

Nice atmosphere and good service. I had the fish and received the smallest portion that I have ever seen. It did taste good but was slightly undercooked. A couple of foody type sides with Brussels sprouts. Really, must be the new trend I missed.

We had a very nice evening at At Sea. The food was great and very good service. The prices are a bit higher than at some other places on the island. But it is still great value. We both had seafood as a main course, but the meat looked great as well. Don't miss the dessert!

Although AT SEA claims to be one of the finest restaurants on the island and in the whole of the Caribean, the current chef is still trying to learn. We ordered Turf and Surf for a starter and then the special fish dish of the day. The Turf and Surf consisted of beef tartare and a colf fish tartare but... More

At Sea has become one of the “in places” in Bonaire, and with some good reason. The offer some very interesting dishes with rather different accompaniments and presentation. Included with the meals are several “pre-appetizers” that are basically just one mouthful of some rather different tidbits. We met a couple of our windsurfing friends there and did have a very... I guess you better go for their menu and not the surprise one. To many small bites with a lot of different sauces.

Great fish, service and little extras. We made reservations, which was a must when we were there. The Waloo was in season and excellently prepared.

This restaurant has a very interesting menu. Foodies would definitely want to try it. The chef enjoys experimenting and you can chose to order his 4-course Surprise menu which is paired with different wines. Excellent dinner!!
