Great food and great price!

This place had great reviews and I almost skipped it and I'm glad I didn't. Three people had entrees and dessert for $69 and we were stuffed. It's a small hole in the wall and worth the effort of getting off our lazy butts and driving there. I will definitely go back the next time I am there.

We have been to Mi Banana many times and are never disappointed. Love it when Carlos is around. He is the son of the owners and a delight to talk to. Seattle Mariners fan. His English is meticulous and we love to talk about local happenings with him. If you're looking for a great local option to the tourist restaurants,... More

Stopped in for lunch with the family and we all enjoyed our meals. Pan seared red snapper with either a garlic or creole sauce, rice, plantains and a small salad for approx. $16 was a bargain. Food was excellent. Nice local vibe. Waitress did not speak english but menu was in spanish and english and ordering was not a problem.... More

Owned by a husband and wife duo who've been on the island for over 20 years, Mi Banana has been open for almost a decade of that. The food is fresh, delicious and all homemade. Sonia couldn't be nicer and makes the island's best dessert (tres leches cake). Fried snapper and chicken stuffed with ricotta and spinach were the other... More

We had a great experience on a Sunday night. It's a small, family run restaurant, but there was lots of selection. We opted for some of the recommended choices (chicken curry fettuccine and chicken ricotta). We didn't save room for dessert, but shared the large serving of tres leiche cake anyways. Although busy, food came quickly and was almost too... More

We ate at Mi Banana last week. It was hands down the best value. My husband and I had fresh fish with 2 sides and 2 beers each. Our bill was 38.00. That was less than half what we paid at the other places. The food was excellent and so was the service. The atmosphere is very plain. We will... More

if you're looking for some authentic delicious food then this is the place to go. Its not in a tourist area and its a bit difficult to get there but the food is well worth the hassle of getting there. Try the home made desserts. They're awesome.

I first visited Mi Banana about 9 years ago, drawn in as it were by the promise of Sopa do Dia (soup of the day) which was fish soup. It was most excellent and I became a regular. Fast forward to 2015 and it was time to revisit. Today it is easier to communicate with the staff if Spanish is... More

We had simple and nice food in a simple and friendly place. I don't know whether the food should be called carribean or South-American. Anyway, it was nice although not light. I can't remember if it was cheap or if we paid an average price (I think a rather average price).

We asked at our hotel about a great local place for fish. And we were not disappointed! Don't let the simple exterior fool you, the place is very clean and the food is outstanding.
