Off the main strip but easy to find is Mi Banana, a quaint little bar that serves a fantastic fish soup and a chicken stuffed with ricotta, hmmm , this was meltm in the mouth cuisine that would be more at home on the Champs de elysees. The sauce was rich and well prepared and with the nice touch of... More

Despite my preference for less chewy cuts of beef, I wholeheartedly recommend Mi Banana. The service was impeccable, it's a full bar and the fish was outstanding.

My family tries to avoid the tourist spots on vacation. We finally found an excellent local place at Mi Banana. The family who owns & runs the restaurant. It was fun to listen to the waiter give a run down of the menu & the families speciality dishes from Colombia. It was the 1st meal that everyone loved every bite.... More

This spot is a bit hard to find and we weren't all that impressed when we got there, despite numerous glowing recommendations from the locals. If you don't speak Dutch or Spanish, there is a serious language barrier and it was apparent that our orders only partly got through. We all ordered fish, which arrived very heavily buttered. Side dishes... More

There are lots of places to eat in Bonaire focussed on tourists. There are fewer places that tourists find that focus on serving locals. This is one of them. Don't expect fancy surroundings or fast service. Do expect good home cooked food with simple flavours made from local ingredients. Fish of the day with fried plantains is always a good... More

It doesn't look much. The menus are rough, the tablecloth plastic, and the waitress communicates in Spanish with a smattering of other languages. But the food is great - much better than fancier places. Great snapper, risotto chicken, good sides (Yucca and Plantains), great desert (tres leches), and a pleasant, unpretentious atmosphere.

I ate twice at Mi Banana, once dinner and once lunch. Both times I loved the food. The service is very friendly and quick (for Bonairian standards, which is probably not quick enough for folks from the US, but hey, you go to Bonaire to relax ... ), and inexpensive.

We fell in love with this place: great flavors of Columbian food, impeccable and super fast attentive service. This place is popular with tourists and locals. We came back again for the home-made food and great, humble service.
