Great informal dining

We came here, having been badly let down by a restaurant up the road, It Rains Fishes, who had given our pre booked table to a couple who'd simply walked off the street! La Guernica is a fish tapas restaurant but also do a selection of starters and mains, fish and meat. They suggested a... read more

We shared a meal with two of our friends, it was their last night on the island. What a special evening! We ordered the trio of catch of the day with 3 sauces and 3 different tapas plates. We are small statured women so this was plenty of food for us, and it left room for dessert. From the tapas... More

This is a Spanish tapas restaurant with local ingredients and it is absolutely delicious! We had crab chowder as an appetizer which was the soup of the day - it was so so good. Then we had lots of different seafood tapas dishes like calamari with a delicious garlic aioli, shrimp dishes, fresh fish skewers, and the most amazing thing... More

New Year's Eve and the food was great!! Soup was killer. Salad was island salad, but good. Steak was amazing!! Fish was fresh and perfectly prepared. Three different fish, and they were all cooked properly!! Sides were great. Dessert was perfect. This was an amazing meal!! We will be back!!

This is my new favorite place to eat on the island. My girlfriend and I stopped in to give it a shot and loved it so much we went back 3 nights later. The service was outstanding. I wish I could remember our waitress' name, but I'm drawing a blank. We had multiple tapas and shared them. They were all... More

The red snapper was prepared perfectly. Crispy skin and not over cooked. Sangria was mixed with a lot of fruit. Banana dessert was simple but good

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Bonaire. La Guernica's specialty is a trio of fish (whatever is caught that day) served in different sauces...not drenched like we sometimes get in the US, but just enough. They're simply mouth-watering. Vegetables are difficult to get on this arid island, but La Guernica does not skimp on quantity of either vegetables... More

If you want an entertaining dinner choose for La Guernica. With its terrace right at the boulevard you have nice seaviews and also sight on the local scooterguys doing there wheelies, quite entertaining. Food is good and plenty of choice between à la carte and tapa's. And very friendly staff.

The only negative point I can think of with La Guernica is the ranking on TripAdvisor. I had the pleasure of eating there several times, and the service was always flawless and efficient. The tenderloin on the menue was awsome! I also had tapas there, and they as well were bery good. This, combined with the magnificent view deserves a... More
