Only game in town at northend of Bonaire

This small quaint, whole in the wall tavern was a welcomed site when we ventured to the desolate North-end of Bonaire. The food was good, the wait staff was the owner. Outside seating only, it does not rain much in Bonaire. The stews were good and the Mai Mai was better. We even tried their... read more

Go to Rose inn, enter a little paradise of trees, tables and nicely painted houses. Take a seat and ask Rose what she has. Ask anything because it doesn't matter. It is good!! Don't forget the time - or do - because you certainly will!

We stopped off at the Rose Inn after spending a morning in the National Park. We were looking to find lunch but didn't want too much as we were eating again in the evening, so we asked what they were serving on that day, knowing that there was only a limited menu. We were immediately instructed to sit down! We... More

Rose Inn appears to be the ONLY place to stop and eat on this very remote part of the island, and our hostess (Rose?) is a charming delightful lady. The beer and bottled water and nice and cold, an oasis in the desert! I had a mahi-mahi sandwich; but the meat was quite thin and did not taste fresh or... More

If you are the type who likes to get a taste of what is unique to the places you visit, then you will love the Rose Inn. This is local home cooking in a very unassuming atmosphere. It is also the perfect way to finish a day of diving sites along the northern strip on the west side of Bonaire.... More

Based on some recommendations and of course, TripAdvisor we decided to stop by for lunch. Located in Rincon - its entirely an outdoor seating, casual atmosphere restaurant. It was always crowded when we drove by which of course is a good sign. You find an free table and take a seat. Eventually (island time) a server (I think also the... More

Lunches were about $15 a plate. Enjoyed the goat stew, and sampled the different sides. The let us have smaller portions of most of the sides. Instead of just fries or rice and beans, I had both of those, plus fried yucca, and the grey purple loaf(I forget the name). Also, came with a few plantains and a small salad.... More

So local, so bizarre. Don't mind the dogs or the general chaos of it all. Just grab the very, very cold beer and whatever they are serving and catch the wave. A great place to loll away the afternoon when you just want to get away from it all.

After your northern dives (1000 steps, Tolo, Karpata), drive round into Rincon and stop at Rose Inn for the "coldiest beer," the best goat stew ever, and lots of Island attitude. Almost always playing is a local Rincon band (recorded music).
