Good experience

We visited twice, once for ice cream/milkshakes and once for light lunch. Norman runs the place and loves to chat and talk about Bonaire, and loves to have peope try (for free) samples of his very nice and hearty soup. My wife loved her pistachio milkskare and I enjoyed my vanilla ska.e Shakes... read more

We ate there twice. Try owner Norman's excellent squash soup if it's available. The Pastechis (kind of like empanadas) are a treat - all the flavors are good. The homemade milkshakes are also excellent. Norman is full of interesting stories about Bonairean politics and intrigue.

On my most recent trip, as always, I had to stop in for some squash soup and ice cream and a chat with Norman! This is a must place to visit if you are in Bonaire. Norman is wonderful and the food is that kind of "local good" that can be hard to find.

Let me first say, This is the place to stop on your way through Rincon for some SUPER tasty treats. Norman is always pleasant and willing to spend a few minutes chatting about whatever is on his mind or just life in general. The real reason for stopping by is his food. The Pastistes are absolutely to die for. If... More

Any visit to Bonaire wouldn't be complete without spending a few hours sweating at Le-Ma-Se in Rincon. A visit with Norman is a cultural exchange with a local that enjoys being around people. Any reviewer that doesn't like the experience should stay at the Ritz and partake in foods and service watered down to make them comfortable and important. Many... More

We travel annually to Bonaire diving and out trip is never complete unless we get to see Norman at Le-Ma-Se. The squash soup and milkshakes are a must to try. If you are adventurous ask him to prepare you some Iguana soup or fried goat's blood.

Le MA Se is a small and humble place where you can have tasty milkshakes, among other things, and have a chat with Norman, it's friendly owner. It's true that he won't tell you the prices until the end, but we paid a reasonable price. I'll go again and taste other milkshakes.

If you're diving the Northwest shore of Bonaire, plan to stop by Le-Me-Se...a little road side bistro in Rincon. It's at the edge of town (left side) on your way back to Kralendijk. Norman is a one man show featuring homemade shakes, meat-filled pastries and a wonderful squash soup. He is one unique fellow and makes you feel like an... More

Terrible ripoff. We read positive reviews and had already met the owner as he handed out business cards at the Karpata dive site. He seemed enterprising and that was favorable. After we were totally scammed at Rose Inn (where we had been told that we would receive great local food at an inexpensive price) we thought we'd try LeMaSe for... More

Friendly atmosphere and great tasting local food! You've got to try Norman's squash soup! And the pastechi and milk shakes are well worth the short drive to Rincon!
