Cool decor - easy to miss when you walk past

I thought this restaurant was derelict! When you walk past in the day time there's no obvious front door, the trees in front are dead and the fence is slight decrepit but at night it's a very cool restaurant/bar decorated with Andy Warhol prints and dimly lit. Great menu with a good range of food... read more

Great food; great staff; great atmosphere and great background music. We ate there four times during out 10 day stay at a nearby hotel and every meal was excellent.

We have been to Scarlets many times and always have a wonderful evening. The food is always delicious and the staff are well informed regarding the menu. If you have special dietary requirements they will be able to accommodate with original and tasty options. The cocktails are amazing. Would recommend a visit at least once whilst on holiday.

scarlet is a great option if you want a break from the hotel/resort dining options. Cocktails are unique and creative; watching the bartenders mix them is half the fun! We had grilled mahi mahi and fried chicken, along with an assortment of cocktails including Bajan Iced Tea, Apple Daquiri, Coconut Mojito, Grande Martini, Creme Brule Martini, and Coconut Cream Pie... We've been to Scarlet a number of times over various trips to Barbados, and visited twice during our recent two week stay, and enjoyed both meals. Scarlet is a pretty cool cocktail bar restaurant in St James located in a chattel house...painted scarlet. The menu has a good selection of smaller plates (starters) with a bit of an Asian flavour,... More

We initially went to have a few drinks but it wasn't quite what we had in mind. It was really packed for a Wednesday night. For a small place and to be highly packed with so many people, one couldn't have a nice conversation. The drinks were also overpriced. The decor is amazingggggg and very trendy but with the atmosphere... More

Went there last night whilst staying opposite in Tamarind on honeymoon. Bar man in hotel and few locals has recommended it. When you approach the building there is a tiny sign and it's honestly looks like a red wooden hut but once inside its amazing. There was only seats at the bar but it was great watching the cocktails been... More

Our teenagers loved this place as much as we did. We had a wonderful time catching up on life, eating delicious food and sampling shared cocktails. The service was excellent - friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The contrast between the external and internal appearance of the place is part of the charm - it's like entering a secret world.

We have passed this restaurant many times during our visits to the island but have never got around to visiting it until this year and we are so glad we did! This is totally different to most of the fine dining places on the west coast but that's not a negative in any way. A small restaurant, so you need... More

Such a great little Bistro, the cocktails are fabulous and I would absolutely recommend ordering nibbles for the table tapas style as there is so much on the menu that everyone should try. The avocado Quesadilla is to die for, as is the Rarebit. Can't wait to go back in November!
