We had a beautiful table on the terrace to enjoy the sunset. Very glad we had asked for an outside table. It was also handy getting the ferry there. It is pricey, but worth it. Our food was fabulous, excellent vegetarian choices as well, washed down by a very nice bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc. We will definitely come here... More

Pricey, but worth the splurge. Sunday brunch is out of this world. Wait staff is friendly, professional without being stuffy. Our favorit dinner of the trip was here - excellent food.

I held a private function here in May 2014. BEST decision ever!! Dirk could not do enough to make our party everything that I wanted. It was so easy working with him and his team yet the end result was over and above my expectations, AMAZING!! The staff all worked SOO hard on the night but seemed happy to do... More

Time stops at Beau Rivage! I sat outside on the lovely terrace overlooking the eternity pool of the hotel, Newstead, that hosts this wonderful French restaurant. Beyond the pool is a view of Hamilton set off by the amazing azure blue stretch of water between. It was amazing at lunch, and I can only imagine the beauty at sunset! Well,... More

Great dinners and breakfasts here. Stayed at the Newstead so had breakfast daily and two dinners. The food is expensive but very good. Lobster bisque, steak and duck were all delicious. It was lovely to be able to eat outdoors and to enjoy the view of Hamilton and the water. Service was very good.

Went with a group and we had a fantastic time. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the Beef Wellington that was out of this world. Also enjoyed the frog legs appetizer. My wife had a spinach salad that she claimed was the best. She ordered the steak au poivre as the main course that was excellent. We shared a chocolate... More

My husband and I choose Beau Rivage for an early sunset dinner. The location is perfection, I just wish the sunset had cooperated. All the same we enjoyed a fine dinner and found the wait staff very helpful and efficient. The wine list is a bit pricey but then again so is Island dining. This restaurant did not disappoint.

Everyone familiar with the old Newstead waited with some trepidation whilst the new got itself going. The Beau Rivage has excelled every meal we have eaten there. They do a wonderful lunch with views to match, a really great dinner and if you like, very nice Sunday brunches. Ferry service back for this location.

On our last day at Newstead Belmont Resort we decided to have breakfast at the restaurant on site - Beau Rivage - instead of getting room service. We were very disappointed with the food (my eggs were close to cold - not good for Eggs Benedict, maple syrup was NOT maple syrup), and service was slow - and we felt... More
