This is our first time in Bermuda. On a general note, everything here is expensive, particularly eating out. We have given up trying to compare prices to London as it only frustrates us! Mad Hatters is no exception - it is expensive because it is in Bermuda! However, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening and heartily recommend this place. The food... More

Our taxi driver picked us up in Southampton and raised his eyebrows when we said our destination was Mad Hatters. "How did you hear about that place?" he asked. TripAdvisor of course. He highly recommended this spot as the best on the island. Our family (kids college age) was not disappointed on this evening, which we all will remember for... More

With all the great reviews on Trip Advisor, I was eager to eat here with friends for my birthday. And I wasn't disappointed. A small restaurant with outdoor seating as well, the Mad Hatter lives up to it's promise for great food and excellent service. There were so many delicious menu choices to choose from that it made deciding on... More

My husband and I just returned from Bermuda, where we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We chose to have dinner at Mad Hatters for our special occasion, based largely on the positive TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed: the food was delicious and the ambiance welcoming. Even the cab driver who brought us to the restaurant said we had made... More

We decided to try out this restaurants as it was listed here as being the top restaurant in Bermuda and it was also recommended by some friends we met here. I don't know if it was that we had very high expectations for this place, but we were greatly disappointed. The food was good, not great. I ordered the breast... More

This is truly a great restaurant. Not large or opulent, but the food is great, along with good service. We had several different wait staff check on us during the evening. I started with the appetizer portion of crab risotto. It was creamy, but yet firm. It had sufficient crab meat to justify the name "crab risotto." The entree was... More

We visited here in July. The food was nice but nothing amazing. We also had a 40 minute wait for our main course, was told this is because they cook everything fresh. The menu is limited and small. Was nice to visit but wont be back.

Reservations are a "must". We attempted to make reservations for the same evening (Friday), but the earliest they could accommodate us was Monday. It was worth waiting for. The food was spectacular, great service, and you weren't rushed. We enjoyed watching folks who were dining outside come in and exchange "hats" they could wear while dining - an overall friendly... The food here is phenomenal. We went on a Saturday evening without reservations, and got a table outside without a wait. The atmosphere was casual, although quite a few of the other diners were dressed quite neatly (we, in contrast, were in shorts and t-shirts, but it didn't feel uncomfortable, either). We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops, the crab cakes,... More

This is located in the Mariner’s Club and I understand the proceeds of Mad Hatters goes towards the Seamen’s Mission; an excellent charity. Popped in without a reservation and were readily accommodated despite it being quite busy. The printed menu is a little limited but there is an extensive, interesting choice from the daily specials; and remarkably all totally recalled... More
