On October 15 2014 my cousin Holly and I came to this establishment. We ordered food and two drinks. I mentioned to the waitress that the drinks tasted like they had no alcohol, and a few minutes later the bartender came to my table with a glass of vodka asking me to drink it. He said that this was the... More

We apologize if we offended you, however we take our responsibilities to deliver our customers exactly what they pay for and expect very seriously. The drink you ordered had one ounce of alcohol in it with 3 ounces of mix, poured over a full glass of ice (9 ounce glass). Our goal was to show you that what you asked... More

The atmosphere is more like a pub than a restaurant. There is a good variety of food to choose from in the menu - from seafood to steaks to pubfare. The food was good and the price was right for what we selected - pan seared wahoo and lamb chops. We found the service quite slow compared to the other... More

We had not been to Bermuda in 25 years but spent five days there in September and decided to have lunch at the Hog Penny. The restaurant looks exactly the same and the food was delicious. My husband and I sat at the bar and Dwight took care of us. Excellent service and fabulous conversation. My husband had the Bermuda... More

We stopped here after a sail and we were greeted with an unfriendly welcome because we were casually dressed. It was lunchtime during the week. The hostess said she would seat us and we noticed other parties came in after us in similar clothes. She warmed up to us and the service was fine after we were seated. Don't get... More

This is the third time we'd been to the Hog Penny. The food is always really great. Tasty and filling. The waiter we had though was somewhat rude and "corrected" me on my pronunciation of a menu item, which I thought was unnecessary, considering I wasn't that far off. He had no sense of humor and didn't crack a smile... More

We were spending the day in Hamilton and had planned on going for lunch @ the Lemon Tree Cafe @ 7 Queen Street, but it was closed. Which was fortunate for us, because we found Hog Penny Restaurant & Pub a block away @ 5 Burnaby Hill. We were seated immediately and ordered a 16 ounce local craft porter by... More

Feels authentic & cozy! Great pub menu & the food prepared well- we had the fish & chips (yum!), shepards pie (very good), lobster cakes - excellent, fish stew (best we had) and an all around good time! The bartender Jason is the one who really makes you feel welcome here - he is a real asset ! I recommend... More
