Hog Penny review

I've been in many burger places around the world, and when I say this is the best hamburger I've ever had, I'm not kidding. The pub atmosphere is energetic, and many locals eat here at lunchtime. This is a great place. It is as dark and cozy as any pub in England. The food and drink is very good, but the atmosphere is just what an English-style Pub should be. It's located in the middle on Hamilton just off Front Street and highly recommended.

My husband and I went to the Hog Penny as part of Restaurant Week 2015 Restaurant Week--Jan. 15th--thru--February 5th there was a set menu for this event, which was excellent, food was delivered quickly, staff was friendly, overall a great meal and a great price. Even off the regular menu prices are moderate food is always good

We enjoyed our meal at the Hog Penny. Were able to walk to it from our hotel. Food, Service and Prices were all acceptable. I would go back for a basic meal of burger, ribs, steak.

If you have been to the United kingdom then you know a pub is not the equivalent of a bar as many people in the United states mistakenly think. The great thing about this pub is the interior was brought over from England and it shows. We stopped in before the Christmas parade and they weren't serving food yet so... More

My wife's baked potato with chilli was unfortunately under cooked with hardly any chilli topping, so unimpressed, whereas my sausage and mash was great, so I was happy! Typical pub fare, with American food available as well. Good beer.

First place we ate in Bermuda and it was a good introduction. Wait staff were uniformly friendly just like everyone we met in Bermuda. Loved the fish chowder. Shepherd's Pie was good but more than we could finish. We came in really early before dinner was being served officially but no one seemed to mind and we had our food... More

Not going to win any cooking competitions. Uninspiring and pedestrian execution despite interesting menu choices.

We are a bit disappointed to read your brief review which is unfortunately bit short of specifics. We are standing by ready and willing to listen if you wish to flesh out the items you actually ordered so we may review our preparations of them. Thank you kindly. More

the history of the hog penny. When Bermuda was settled, the island was run wild with hogs. The island currency was the british coins with a Hog imprinted on the reverse side. Exposure to Bangers and Mash, and steak and kidney pie, spotted dick and shandi
