We wanted to try authentic Aruban food so my family stopped here. It was pretty much empty except for us. The service was good, they were very friendly, and the food was great! My mom, dad, brother, and I tried different items from the menu so we could taste each other's which was a good idea, seemed like we got... More

When I go to another country, I don't want to eat American food. I sought out Soenchi's and open air restaurant one evening when looking for something else to do. In spite of the loud 'town center' area where the restaurant is located, the ambiance and food are beautiful and inspiring. I will definitely return.

I don't know how this place gets any good reviews. We were attracted by the nearby location and interesting menu. I ordered the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were stringy and flavorless. I had to send it back. The lobster carpaccio was joke. Three tiny lump of tough crab buried underneath onions and orange rind. Couldn't eat anything on the plate.... More

Service was very good and the atmosphere relaxed and comfortable. We arrived a little after 6:30PM on a Tuesday evening and took advantage of a 3 course fixed price ($29@) dinner. We each also had a complimentary Mojito. Advertised as authentic Aruban cuisine, so we had no preconceived expectations. The food was different, but very good and we left satisfied.... More

We were there for dinner tonight and our experience all around was horrible. Our first clue should've been that the place was empty. There were eight of us in our party and no one was happy with their meal. Once we sat down and ordered drinks, our waitress informed us that they didn't have any Red Snapper or Lobster. We... More

We went to this restaurant on our final night in Aruba. We decided to go early so that we could order the three course prix fixe. My wife and I had a complimentary mojito. I normally am not a fan of mojitos but enjoyed this one as it had a nice balance of lime and mint and the mix was... More

I cannot imagine what usually eat at their place people who titled amazing their reviews of this restaurant. Service is so slow that you can forget what you ate before the next plate arrive. I had a shrimp cocktail ( poor ) and a lobster carpaccio better to forget. The red snapper was overcooked and my grouper was tasteless. Coconut... More

Aug 3, 2012 - On an island where there are so many good restaurants, dining at Soenchis is a waste of time and money. The restaurant sat mostly empty while the others around were buzzing with diners. We thought we'd give it a try as it was touted as true Aruban Cuisine and we were looking for something authentic. We... More

Our service was really slow. Our waitress or chef forgot to include an important part of the dish, so I complained and it came out later on a separate plate by itself after I finished the plate. The food was average not worth the price.

The whole grilled red snapper was excellent and I loved that I was encouraged to eat with my fingers "Aruban Style". Unfortunately, the poor service ruined the effect of the delicious food. Although we were seated promptly it took over 30 minutes for a server to take drink orders. By then we were ready to order our meal. Another 30... More
