Not fancy BUT...

Since this is rated # 3 on trip advisor I feel the need to make sure it stays there but don't expect Carte Blanche. I have been to most restaurants in Aruba and this is EXCELLENT for what it is, German food and beer. it's low key, laid back and fun. Lots of fried schnitzel and spatel so don't go... read more

My husband and I have been dining here during each of our annual visits to Aruba. We have always been very satisfied with every meal. We had dinner there last night and were surprised to see that the decor has been very comfortably updated but still retains its unique atmosphere. As usual, the owner was there to warmly welcome us... More

Wonderful atmosphere with Bavarian decor; very informal. Genuine Bavarian owner and server. Lots of GREAT beers! Schnitzel: veal or pork or chicken, served with various toppings. The 'kraut, red cabbage and potato pancakes left nothing to be desired. Our group of 7 had a great time and will return.

We decided to try something different away from the resort and we are glad we did! The German food was authentic and very tasty! We tried the sausage sampler and the pork with spaetzle and both dishes were excellent!! The food took awhile to come out but it was worth the wait! They had a huge list of beers on... More

We returned to Bavaria for the 3rd year in a row. The owner is friendly, helpful and just fun to talk to. This year choices were roulade and Wiener schnitzel. The homemade red cabbage and potato pancakes were great as usual. Ended the meal with a taste of German Apple liquor and the owner let me taste the holiday version... More

This was a first try for us. Not too familiar with German food, but willing to try it out!! They stocked over 400 types of beer and I introduced them to Julius Echter beer from Germany!!! I tried a new wheat beer which is my favorite group and my husband chose a new dark beer. The potato soup was delicious,... More

Potato pancakes were great. Four of us ate there and we were all very happy. Great beer selection. They take reservations although the concierge at the Marriott said they didn't.

We found this restaurant by a random web search and what a great find. A impressive beer list that matches or exceeds what I can find in the states. The food is on par with my most "german" of german restaurants. The setting is simple, the service friendly. I would recommend this to anyone. Cheers!!!

This restaurant has great Schnitzel and sides and has a huge selection of German Beers. Service is very good and friendly. The restaurant has a casual feel to it. We love the food and come here when ever we are in Aruba.

Fantastic German food. We've eaten at many German places in Chicago and Milwaukee. This beats them all! Huge beer list, fantastic homemade dishes. We had potato pancakes with homemade applesauce. The sauerbraten was melt in your mouth. The red cabbage was very well done-not overly sweet like some places do. The spätzle wasn't gummy at all-perfectly cooked. My husband has... More
