Description: Henri Charrière, one of the world’s most famous prisoners, would surely have had the time of his life at Papillon Restaurant in The Village, across from the Radisson Resort. Nicknamed Papillon because of the butterfly tattoo on his chest, he was the first convict to escape from Devil’s Island. Charrière’s thrilling, gripping autobiography has been the concept behind Papillon Restaurant.Papillon Restaurant’s menu reflects the Frenchman’s arduous journey to freedom: classic French dishes have been dusted with daring Caribbean flair and are a culinary journey for your taste buds. The spacious outside terrace is perfect for casual fine dining or one may enjoy the air-conditioned inside dining space.

We went to Papillon when referred by the concierge at the Marriott Ocean Club. We are certainly glad we took her advice because WOW what a wonderful experience! We were greeted by a big smile and a very cheery bartender who set the mood quite well. At the table we were then happily greeted by Lizzy. Lizzy was energetic, knowledgeable... More

According to its website, Papillion is named after Henri Charrière, a famous prisoner who escaped from Devil's Island. His nickname came from a butterfly that was tattooed on his chest. Henri Charrière apparently had extraordinary tales to tell. From Papillion, we do not. In fact, the lack of story (and indeed major promised plot points and characters) is what lets... More

Enjoy Aruba's trade winds by seating outside at this great restaurant. Food was amazing. I had the lamb and it was perfectly cooked/seasoned. The mushroom risotto was creamy and flavorful. My partner had the grouper special and he raved about the gray flavors and the freshness of seafood. The only downfall was they had run out of Jack Daniels and... More

My husband and I went here on our very last day and I wished I found it sooner. It was located in a great location, if your are looking for lively and touristy type environment. They had an quaint indoor dining area but we opted to sit in their outdoor covered area. It was great people watching, nice atmosphere for... More

Great local/French fusion cuisine. Menu offers a good selection and the plates are well executed. A bit pricey but worth it for a great meal.

Get the grouper! OMG it was melting in my mouth. It didn't even taste like fish it had more of an egg texture that was buttery. It was so good. We even came back on a couple of occasions for their desserts. We tried them all. Umm.

We enjoyed Chef Michael's creative twist on food. It was original (Cauliflower Risotto) and the classic French was something that I enjoyed (Beef Bourguigon). Everything was perfect both times we were there. The services was excellent, thank you Minette who was our waiter. Very good for a date and they even had a few great kids options for our little... What a wonderful dinner at Papillion Restaurant this evening! I must say that the appetizer that I enjoyed was the most delicious Cevechie I have ever eaten! Cevechie a la Habana was filled with grouper and shrimp and just divine! For dinner I enjoyed the the Sea Bas en sol. Just wonderful! My husband enjoyed the lamb chop which he... More

I had the Ceviche a Havana and the Lamb Chops. Both were excellent but a little over priced. Well worth a visit one time.

Great food and atmosphere, definitely the best on palm beach strip. My son loved the bathroom, it looked like an old French jail. Loved it, oh yeah and the food is great too! We will be back next year!
