Still Serving Food

We have been eating here for the past several years and we were disappointed that, where the restaurant once stood, a sports bar was standing. I emailed the owner who replied that they were still serving food at the Barvaria Restaurant next door and in front of the Sports Bar. Since we knew that... read more

Swasdee has been closed for about a year. If you are looking for Thai food you can still get some of their dishes at The Bavarian restaurant, which is next door to where Swasdee used to be. It's not authentic Thai, but the only option for Thai on the island.

This place is a little strange as it is part of a German restaurant the Bavarian but the Thai food was ok. The spicy shrimp, cucumber salad and the beef salad were very tasty. The German beer was great but what a disappointment the apple strudel was . Not sure I would make a second visit with all the choices... More

Sawasdee was a little hard to find as it's located on the patio of a sports bar, right outside of a Bavarian restaurant. The ambience is nice and the server was very polite, but we were also the only diners there. Unfortunately, being of Thai/Lao descent the food was a slight letdown. We had the spicy prawns which were flavorful... More

First and foremost, the name of the facility has changed. It was a challenge to find because it's now under Shoco Loco bar next to a "Bavarian: Food and Beer." The owners were quite accommodating even though they got my order incorrect. Food wasn't bad, but was not the best Thai that I've had. Reasonable price for the quality of... More

It's just a little out of the way and way hidden next to Wendy's in a small strip with Domino's and a laundromat. There are two restaurants, Bavarian House or something and a sports thingee owned by the same person and both are also Sawasdee. The owner is fabulously friendly and welcoming. He shook our hands as we left, thanking... More

My husband and I decided to take a walk around the high rise strip and found this hidden gem next to Wendy's! We were desperate for some flavour and after having tried a Chinese joint the earlier night which was horrible, we decided to give thai a try. And boy did we enjoy every bite or our meal! The place... More

We have been at Sawasdee at least 6 or 7 times, we ordered different menues and we enjoyed them all. We are Europeans, so the portions were more than enough for us. We even got a doggy bag every time to take home the rest and could have another meal with it! I only experienced one Thai restaurant that was... More

The people who own this restaurant mean well. They are very welcoming and are happy to explain their dishes. The food is just not good. The sauces are gummy with terribly mismatched flavors. The pork and chicken taste like they had been frozen, not fresh. (We didn't order shrimp). This is not a good Thai experience. I did get a... More

I wondered around trying to find this for two days. After emailing the restaurant, they got back in a reasonable time and assured me it was still there and could make vegan food. This place is a very short walk from the hotels. It's across the main road from raddison hotel. Food was very good. I got a half portion... More
