This was the first meal in Aruba for my wife and I. We were aware it was going to be on the $$ side. The location is in the Hyatt Resort. Very interesting layout as we ate outside by the relfecting pool with the carp and black geese. We both had fish--Grouper and Mahi Mahi. Cooked to perfection. Bread basket... More

This meal was a complete delight from the cuisine itself, to the wonderful, friendly service, to the lovely atmosphere. I am not a huge fish lover, but I tried the grouper with an almond topping and it was absolutely incredible. Aruba is a wonderful place to visit, but this meal is enough to make me want to go back. The... More

Ruinas del mar in the hyatt aruba is a beautiful restaurant. The food is ordinary continental and relatively high prices. The service was very good and the food adequate. I did resent having to pay $15.00 for parking

Excellent service and good food. The brunch is a must. Omelets and waffles made to order. We really love it. We stayed at the hyatt last summer and found their service to be superb. At night the ambience is inviting and relax. Excellent for family with children.

Wondered why this place is always empty and found out why tonight, poor quality, high prices and small portions made this a most unpleasant evening. The Hyatt should be embarrassed for keeping this place open. Avoid if in Aruba!

Sitting outside is so beautiful here. The service was good, but the fish was a little dry. I am not sure if it was worth the money.

Excellent service, nice ambiance in courtyard. We ate mostly appetizers. The chicken/cashew/cheese appetizer dish was fantastic, very rich. A must IMHO. Very good shrimp cocktail, average onion soup. Fantastic chopped salad, very good brown rice pasta salad. The steak entrees averaged around $40US. We plan to go again

While I still feel the food was pretty good it was surely not like the past. Had gone there many times in the past and it was fuller. The prime rib which used to be great doesn't exist any more. That's a shame. It's 102.00 for two people , so it's definitely not cheap. The omelette was great and I... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Ruinas del Mar. A very appealing setting, and best to experience the outdoor seating over the indoors. Attentive staff and well prepared meals, Only detractor were the 'loud mouth' neighbours that were seated next to us…fortunately later in the meal!

We honeymooned in Aruba 20 years ago and returned to the Ruins del Mar, our favorite honeymoon dining spot, and were pleasantly surprised that it was still just as romantic as we had remembered. We were seated at an outdoor table for two next to the water and enjoyed the beautiful setting and the swans. We mentioned to our waiter... More
