This restaurant is located in the Hyatt Regency. We ate all of our breakfasts there as part of the hotel's package deal. The food was always very good if not alittle on the pricey side for us, but the people are what really made us keep coming back. Fany in particular was always cheerful and helpful. The whole staff really... More

Had daily breakfasts here and loved it. The omelet station is the best. The lady that works there is amazing. As for dinner we had some good fish and wine. Be careful eating outside we had a lot of Flying ants that were eating us bring your bug spray.

We stayed 2 nights at the Hyatt during the week of 8-11 and were unsure of where to grab breakfast. We took a look at the breakfast buffet and thought overall, it was a decent value compared to what you would get elsewhere for a lot less food and quality food at that. We felt that if we had a... We really enjoyed our meals here, especially if you get a waterside tabel overlooking the black swans - beautiful! Ruinas del Mar offers an Impressive breakfast (including a great buffet if you want to fill up for the day) & is also a romantic setting for dinner. We highly recommend it if staying at the Hyatt or other nearby hotels.

Ruinas del Mar, in the Hyatt Aruba, looks like a Caribbean castle surrounded by a moat with swans and sea turtles. Arrive around 6:30 to get a waterside table for the most romantic ambiance. The shrimp coctail appetizer was fantastic, and the catch of the day moist and beautifully prepared. The staff is island friendly and attentive. The restaurant sits... More

We had been regulars here until a few years ago when the menu changed. It has changed for the better, for us, and we decided to try again. My wife requested a non-menu item--vegetable plate--and the waiter didn't even block, no problem--broccoli, asparagus, carrots, and tomato. I had filet. After the order, the waiter came back to see if the... More

We have been coming to Aruba for years and have dined at Ruinas a couple times but tonight was so good that I am writing a review an hour after leaving! The service was spot on, everyone went out of there way to insure our party of 8 was taken care of. I had the sea bass and my wife... More

We have been dining at this restaurant since they opened in 1990. This was the first time that we were slightly disappointed. The restaurants at the Hyatt have been revamped and redecorating has taken place, but the Ruinas del Mar still has the same basic layout with outside dining seating being at a premium. It wasn't all that busy but... More
