On our most recent visit to this wonderful island we stopped by Sole Mare Restaurant at the recommendation of some friends who had visited there earlier. We were promptly seated, the atmosphere is very nice. We had the pasta prepared in the cheese wheel, it was very tasty. Another dish we had was the Shrimp, and Scallops with linguini, it... More

I know people need to make a living but $172.00 for pasta and Grouper seemed a bit high for what you get. I would have to agree with all last few post high and low ratings. I think next time I'll try a different place just for comparison.

I went to Aruba for 10 days on my honeymoon, eating out everyday. Sole Mare is hands down the best restaurant out there. Born and raised in New Jersey and a first generation Italian here, I know my sauce and pasta!! Sole Mare blew me away with their food. I opted for the "CHEESE WHEEL" I mean who wouldn't want... More

Wish this was a better restaurant. Food good and atmosphere nice, however no salad with meal, prices too high for area and bread was stale.

I was born and raised in South Phila. so Italian food made by real Italians was part of my diet. Sorry to say this restaurant, while pleasant and comfortable this establishment doesn't serve anything remotely close to real Italian food. The pasta was undercooked, the sauce was pasty, the veal was overcooked and serving bread with marinara sauce that tasted... More

The food was good, especially the lasagna. My profiteroles were disappointingly stale, but the rest of the food at my table was delicious.

Not good. Do not order the chicken parm. It was 3 chicken tenders with sauce and cheese and it didn't taste that good. The waitress was very nice but disappeared after the entrees were served. The restrooms have no air condition...ugh! The decor needs updating. Also, if you are seated near the window the view is low end housing...I advise... More

Not sure why people suggest this place. The food was SO bad that I couldn't even eat it and we left. Italian cuisine does not seem to be well prepared in Aruba (La Trattoria Lighthouse was also terrible Italian food) but Sole Mare was totally inedible. NOT recommended, sorry.

not the best italian i've ever had but it really hit the spot when you are in the mood for italian. the lasanga with meat was very tasty and penne punesta - fresh tomatoes, olives and great sauce were our menu selections. we were offered sparkling water - which turned out surprisingly to be $10 per bottle. we split a... We were told by our concierge to try this place as we love italian food back here in the US. The entire staff are so into making sure you are pleased with everything. Drinks were ordered promptly and they also came with garlic bread and fried corn meal. They look like a large french fry which you can dip into... More
