Description: Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful setting to create an experience almost unique on our island. When listening to the ocean caressing the shore, while wiggling your toes through the pearly white sand, why not let yourself be pampered by a gourmet dinner? Chef Gerco & Maitre d' Luc had a shared dream of opening up a restaurant here, but wanted something in line with what they enjoy on Aruba: the nearly perfect climate, the possibility to always be outside, the tropical feel... When opening their restaurant, they had these ideas in their heads, and it worked like a charm! Tables under a large palapa on a wooden deck with a view of the ocean, or outside under the Aruban nights sky, on the pristine beach... An original menu was created by Gerco and Justin, with some of the old school favorites (sirloin with bearnaise, or tuna steak with teriyaki) as well as some original dishes not found anywhere, with unique combinations (smoked salmon & shrimp, grouper & mango or leg & rack of lamb) and wonderful vegetarian dishes. With the help of the local wine suppliers, Luc made an extensive wine list, with wines from all over the world, and is always ready to pair a wine with your dinner. The experienced service team is friendly yet professional, ready to wow you from the moment you walk in, to make a fabulous evening into a great memory on Aruba!

Arrived at 6 pm and had no problem getting a table as long as we didn't want on the beach. Ended up with a great view of the sunset and being out of the wind. Service was good and food was fine. Not great, but not bad either. I had the Caribbean grouper. It was cooked nicely, but comes topped... More

Wonderful location!!! The tables are right out on the sand and you are steps from the ocean. We had a fabulous sunset while we ate delicious food. We decided later it wasn't the best food on the island but definitely the best location. Wonderful service from the staff! I would highly recommend this restaurant - which is not near anything... The dreamiest crab cakes of the year. A perfect, soft, slightly peppery mahi mahi with a bit of pineapple, a very good snapper, good dessert and good drinks. Lovely view. What else can you possibly want?

The food was incredible! Probably best fish dish I have ever had (had Caribbean Grouper). Sunset was beautiful and so great to be right on the beach to enjoy it. Our kids not only loved the food (like we did), but they thought it was the coolest thing to be able to take their shoes off and eat with their... More

We went to Barefoot for our anniversary dinner. The food was good but nothing extraordinary. I had tuna and my wife had a pesto pasta meal. The great thing would be the view and ambiance. The food was just ok. Don't get me wrong it was good but for the price it could have been better. When I made the... More

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for over three years on our trips to Aruba and have always been satisfied. However, on this visit things got off to a bad start. Our hotel, the Bucuti, booked a reservation for us on the beach at Barefoot. When we arrived we where told that we could not be... More

The view, the setting and the staff were all amazing. The staff was really extremely friendly and wanted to make sure you were enjoying every bit of the view. The food was not amazing, but was very good. The meal wasn't extremely expensive, but wasn't cheap either. You're paying for excellent service, great view and decent food. The cappuccino was... I tried to dine there yesterday. What a mess!!! Looks like rush hour. Staff running, informal service, I'll never recommend it to anyone.

The place is really nice and the idea of a restaurant were you need to wear flip flops is really nice considering that you are in Aruba. The service was really good and everybody assited us perfectly. We asked for a little bit more of a side dish and they gently provided us with another one with no extra cost.... More
