Description: Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great...
Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful setting to create an experience almost unique on our island. When listening to the ocean caressing the shore, while wiggling your toes through the pearly white sand, why not let yourself be pampered by a gourmet dinner? Chef Gerco & Maitre d' Luc had a shared dream of opening up a restaurant here, but wanted something in line with what they enjoy on Aruba: the nearly perfect climate, the possibility to always be outside, the tropical feel... When opening their restaurant, they had these ideas in their heads, and it worked like a charm! Tables under a large palapa on a wooden deck with a view of the ocean, or outside under the Aruban nights sky, on the pristine beach... An original menu was created by Gerco and Justin, with some of the old school favorites (sirloin with bearnaise, or tuna steak with teriyaki) as well as some original dishes not found anywhere, with unique combinations (smoked salmon & shrimp, grouper & mango or leg & rack of lamb) and wonderful vegetarian dishes. With the help of the local wine suppliers, Luc made an extensive wine list, with wines from all over the world, and is always ready to pair a wine with your dinner. The experienced service team is friendly yet professional, ready to wow you from the moment you walk in, to make a fabulous evening into a great memory on Aruba!

Romantic, great views, creative cuisine. Try the royal mojito, the vanilla scallops, the white asparagus soup and any seafood dish. You will not be disappointed.

This place is amazing and I'm not just saying that! The whole experience from the sand to the setting was such a memorable way to spend my milestone birthday. Sitting at a table in the sand, looking at the ocean and seeing planes land was the best!! I think I picked the wrong entree but that did not detract from... More

Feet in the sand, great food! A must visit in Oranjestad. Try the salmon salad, beef carpaccio and cheese cake as dessert. Book well in advance for a table on the beach!

This was the most romantic, tasty meal we had in Aruba. The ambiance was awesome, the sunset while eating was gorgeous. The staff was curteous and attentive. It was an all-around great experience!

When you arrive, very impressive and right on the beach. After having previous positive culinary experiences in Aruba we were really looking forward to Barefoot. Unfortunately, food was average.

Made it there in time for sunset...highly recommend reservations to get the table closest to the water. Watched some planes coming in while enjoying some fresh mojitos. The food is fantastic and the view even better! (If you plan on taking a table in the sand- wear shoes you can easily take off and enjoy!)

The seared tuna steak was all I could ever want. My wife got a different dish that was also great. The best part was the white chocolate cheesecake. Great location and service as well.

Every year we save Barefoot for the last night that we're here..and so far, it's always the best. There's nothing greater than sitting at a table by the water, your feet in the sand, a beautiful sunset, kids swimming off to the side, boats anchored in front of you, palm trees and fabulous, wonderful food. We were offered a beautiful... More

We had a perfect evening at the Barefoot Restaurant. From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and made us feel very welcome. The menu was explained to us, choosing what to have was the difficulty as all the food looked so good. We had a 3 course meal with wine and a celebratory glass of bubbly on the... More

This is the perfect beach vacation restaurant. We sat with our feet in the sand overlooking the water. Since it was evening, we were able to see planes landing and arriving. The food was perfect as was the wait staff. Will definitely return on our next visit.
