Out of the way, but well worth it

Unique combination of cuisines, with a very personal touch from the owner, who stands between tables and relishes listing the day's specials. This contributes to the noise level, as other reviews have mentioned, but adds to the flavor of the place. One of the best meals we had in Aruba.

We had an outstanding dinner. My wife had Grouper with Meunière Sauce and I had the Seafood Medely with a crème sauce which was incredible. Rocky was our server and he was wonderful I asked if I could have a taste of the sauce, because I wasn't sure. Rocky brought it and after tasting it, I ordered it. The experience... More

We have been going to Aruba for 22 years but just discovered this hidden gem. After hearing good things about Gostoso from friends we tried it for dinner one night, and because it was so good we went back a week later. Both visits were excellent and we have added Gostoso to the top of our "must visit in Aruba"... More

A very delicious meal, a bit to the pricey side for a seafood combination, great sangria but the acoustics are horrible and the noise intolerable - they lose a star because of the noise. I felt like I was in a football stadium with fourth and goal and two seconds left in the game. Definitely not the place for a... More

We had the restaurant to ourselves at 6:30 for a half hour, but then it rapidly filled up and was loud - too loud for such a small place. Seafood quality was quite good; sauces were ok: a bit on the bland side. Service was about average for the area. A good choice, but hardly a #1 restaurant.

Outstanding food coupled with incredible pride in the entire experience. Pricing was fair for Aruba. Would definitely go back next trip to Aruba

Very fun and quaint restaurant.....seat about 40 - 50. Owner, Jose, is always out in the restaurant and talking with diners. Food is wonderful and very good. Wait staff is very attentive and timely with service.

This little place is just wonderful. The food is above all standards - the owner is there coming to your table to welcome you. We enjoyed a superb dinner with friends that was presented in the most unusual way - a kabob of fish wrapped in bacon on a skewer that was vertical (about 15 in. ) - so cool... More

We had a flawless meal. We tried the the grouper and the Chicken Minton. Each dish was packed with flavor. Great servers who treat you like family. Their homemade hot sauce was out of this world. And the plantains that accompanied the meal provided the perfect balance of sweetness. The walk from the Renaissance was okay. It was dark by... More

After 3 weeks of paying for bad overpriced food we finally hit the jackpot. The food is soooo good. Not just for Aruba but good period. The GPS put it like 2 blocks away from the real spot but it was with getting slightly lost. We were hesitant given last 3 weeks of following Trip Advisor with supposed good reviews,... More
