My wife and I enjoyed every aspect of this wonderful dining experience. The fish chowder soup, one of two for the day, had a blend of many seasonings and an abundance of seasonings and ample pieces of fresh grouper. Our entrees were the goat, a house specialty, and medallions of beef with a blue cheese sauce. The sauce included other... More

We found this place on TripAdvisor. It's a family frendly place close to downtown in residential area. We had a dinner one night and it was so good we had to return again. Jose/owner was nice, friendly and respectfully entertaining. Kids had a pasta - it was so good they had to order twice! We had a special beef tenderloing... More

Had a very nice dinner in a quaint Gostoso. It is difficult to find as is most places in Orangestad due to few street signs. Jose was great, hands on owner but not intrusive. Meal was delicious.

We heard about this place and called to get directions. It was so good we scheduled a return visit! Very small so call for reservations. They advertise seafood and Portuguese cuisine, but that doesn't scratch the surface. The food is fresh, the taste combinations are wonderful and you feel like family. Get directions and read them before going out. They... More

We have been vacationing in Aruba for over 20 years but some how had never eaten at Gostoso's. We weren't sure what to expect when we walked in but we left vowing to return when we are next on the island. The owner, Jose Du Naselcimento explained the specials, leaving nothing to chance. The food was outstanding. And the entire... More

Cute little restaurant in a residential area - the former home of the owner's sister! He is attentive as your host and server and his infectious personality is a plus. Enjoyed the Brazilian cocktail (the name escapes me). I had the grouper kabob suspended over a bed of scallops and shrimp - great presentation and great meal! My husband had... More

This was our second visit to Gostoso in two years. We continue to find this out-of-the-way restaurant one of our favorites on the island. The menu is unique, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the bill won't leave you with an empty wallet. The goat is a surprising good choice; same is true for the avocado stuffed with cod.... Jose-owner is very attentive but almost to much. It appears the other staff take a back seat and he runs the whole show. Food overall is good. i had the paella and my mom had pork(over cooked) with guava sauce. Nothing fancy but good. Codfish croquettes very good. There was no real wine selection-he just picked a cabernet from Argentina... More

No matter where you travel you hear folks tell of the best restaurants being those that are "off the beaten path", or "the place where the locals go". Gostuso is one of those restaurants. We had heard about it from a friend and decided to give it a try. I must say, when we arrived, we were a little skeptical.... More

The food here is absolutely delicious!!! I had the creole sushi rolls, the mixed grill Venezuelan Style, and the cannoli. It was SO GOOD!!!! I also have to add that hot sauce is addictive (I really wish I would have brought some home) and the sangria is amazing too! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My only wish is... More
