Quaint little restaurant

We decided to try De Suikertuin based on a lot of positive reviews, and went there one morning for breakfast before a big day of shopping. We got lost trying to find this place, but eventually found ourselves here. What a cute little place! It looks like a cavern inside, but is nice and airy, but... read more

This restaurant is very fine. It's decored in a rustic and modern mix of styles. We only had coffee and cake here but these place is an excellent place for lunch, both warm and cold (sandwiches). On their menu also some typically Dutch stuff like hotch potch onion-carrot ( hutsput) en red cabbage (rode kool). Nice staff too, really worth... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant for breakfast while staying downtown. The owner(?) greeted us and served us breakfast in the quaint, plant-filled garden at the rear of what appears to be a converted residence about two blocks from the marina. The open-air garden is surrounded by high walls and trees filled with finches (which do not bother the... More

De Suikertuin is located in an older building downtown with thick stone walls and has a nice rustic decor. The restaurant has an extensive menu of sandwiches along with some salads and entrees. They also offer breakfast and poffertjes for dessert. The food is fresh and good. I like to go there with girlfriends.

The place is quaint and feels very rustic, and old in the best possible way. You can eat inside or out. perfect for a quick lunch, nice fresh drinks and a friendly staff.

This restaurant is a little hard to find because it is not on the main street, but it's well worth the short walk. The food was unbelieveably fresh, great tasting and very reasonably priced combined with delightful service. We stopped in Aruba on our recent cruise, and it was a wonderful change from ship food. Also, they have free wi-fi so... More

Worth seeking out! Away from the tourists, lovely atmosphere and excellent friendly service. Delishous healthy lunch, not your average sandwich or burger. Had a perfect ending with a split of home made hot apple pie with ice cream and whipped cream, worth every calorie

This is our fourth year visiting Aruba. We were very happy to find this restaurant. It is really nicely decorated and has a beautiful private open patio on the rear for al fresco dining. In our opinion, they serve the best breakfast on the island! Very reasonably priced - especially given the quantity and quality of food they provide. In... More

After nearly a week on the island was looking for something other than seafood or burgers for lunch. De Suikertuin reminded me of a European sandwich shoppe. We had the Italiano and the chicken curry on a croissant and both were delicious. Staff very attentive and courteous. The building is old and beautiful with lovely decor.
