This restaurant is off the tourist district and a little difficult to find as there are no road signs downtown. It was worth the treasure hunt. The food was great. It had old world charm with a lovely private garden area with tables.

Downtown Oranjestad. Great food, very friendly waitresses. Kids had pancakes, we had various salads. We sat in the lovely garden, with birds 'suikerfdiefjes' flying in and out of the cage. Newspapers available. Great place.

We loved this little gem--located in Downtown but off the "Tourist Path" with excellent food, quick service. I had the pesto chicken salad sandwich, my fiance had the Waldorf salad sandwich, both served on a super fresh baguette. We both ordered the "regular" sized portion (vs the "Additional" or larger portion) and this was more than enough! We would definitely... More

We had breakfast here once and the quality of the food and service was fine, as were the quite large portion sizes. The diet coke had a very strange taste and the cappuccino was average. Inside the restaurant is nicely decorated, but the location is nothing special and no special views like you have at restaurants on the main road... More

We were wandering around on our first full day in Aruba and stumbled upon this place. The grouper special listed on the board outside sounded good and it was! My husband got the Italian baguette, which was also good. The service was relaxed (i.e. a little slow), but friendly. Give it a try and don't miss Aruba's version of lemonade... More

This is a quaint spot in downtown to enjoy breakfast or soup and baguette sandwiches for lunch. They have indoor dining or a nice courtyard in the back for outdoor. Pleasant staff and good food. A nice place for a quiet relaxed meal.

Definitely recommend when visiting Oranjestad. Incredible little building with a very friendly staff. Service is a little slow but true to the way it is done in Europe. Food is great with some authentic Dutch items.

I went to the "De suikertuin" to have breakfast. I was with 2 other persons. We all ordered the "Hollands ontbijt". This included 2 slices of toast a half, small piece of baguette, a croissant, a boiled egg, several sandwidge spreads and a cup of tea, coffee or juice. When i cut up the egg, the yolk had a broad... Very nice, small restaurant. Online menu is confusing, lists a dinner menu, but only open until 4pm? Food and service was very good and in a relaxing atmosphere (old house converted to a restaurant). The Dutch Apple Pie was delicious!
