Saw advert in tourist magazine and thought would be worth visit, we were not disappointed. Tucked away off Main Street with nothing much else there, is this little haven. Catch of the day is whatever the owner catches on his boat, when we visited it was Wahoo both times. Wahoo really nice and of course fresh. Had the lobster second... More

This is an absolute GEM in Oranjestad! Our family walked into this unassuming restaurant after wandering around looking for it (and being personally escorted by the policeman of whom we'd asked directions)...it was like the door opening in the Wizard of Oz! What an interior...and what fabulous food. It was one of our very favorite meals in Aruba. Excellent selections.... More

The food is very fresh. The restaurant is very nautical. A little pricey but we will return again next year as the food is consistently good.(We had swordfish)

Driftwood was referred to us by a friend. It's within walking distance to the Renaissance Marina Hotel and we ended up having dinner there twice during our stay. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. My husband had the catfish and I had wahoo and both were delicious. Also, the cornbread is good.

This is the second time we've been to Driftwood. Both times we've eaten off the special three course menu. The food and service have both been very good. It's not on my must do list but I would not hesitate recommending Driftwood.

visited this week after a 15 year absence; although the fish was great as expected, the service left a bit to be desired. server really gave us a feeling of rushing us; seemed a bit disinterested. would go back for sure though, as this is a Aruba classic

The Driftwood is an exceptional restaurant. The catch of the day never disappoints. We tried the wahoo and it was excellent. The service is always great and we make it a destination every time we come to Aruba.

Its off the beaten path but it is worth it, My family will go here every year. Make sure you ask about the "Special menu". This will be cheaper. Always ask about the catch of the day!

The Place: A tourism focused restaurant near downtown. Situated a couple blocks off LG Smith Blvd and behind the Renaissance at the downtown marina. Kitschy nautical decor - nets, rope, mounted fish - with mix of wooden booths. Not a place I'd suggest for romantic, or near romantic, ambiance. Feels like any older, middle of the road large restaurant in... More
