Meat Lover?

Always great but be prepared for a noisy meal. Pricey but worth it. Cigar bar across the street a good place to relax after or before dinner.

We initially heard about El Gaucho's because it was advertised heavily at our Divi resort. We made a reservation through our resort concierge. Getting there was a bit tricky as El Gaucho's is nestled in the local back area of downtown Oranjestad. Once there, we noticed our server, Mario, was extremely kind, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He... More

I had a 32oz steak perfectly cooked, which comes with 3 sides. The prices are reasonable for what it is, but Washington, DC is my reference point.

So we have been coming here since 1998. Was our favorite place to eat in Aruba until last night. Food was still good, but our service was absolutely horrible. I was embarrassed to say the least - considering we took our friends there for the first time. We have been telling them how awesome this place is - just not... More

If you have a group of people that all want to eat a huge steak, this is the place for you. My wife and I split the porterhouse. It was plenty of food for both of us. As far as steak goes, it was very well cooked and juicy. Nothing spectacular. The sauces provided were just ok. A thin, soy... More

A must stop restaurant every time we visit Aruba! Off the beaten path, it can be hard to find but every cab driver or local knows it! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! This place should be ranked much higher on trip advisor! Some of the most tender cuts of beef ever tasted...house made steak sauce and some extra garlic chimmichurri... More

Best Steak I ever had, hands down. Don't bother ordering anything else, if you do you'll regret it later. I can promise you won't be disappointed.

Wow! We were on a cruise that docked in Aruba for many hours and thankfully had the opportunity to eat dinner out in the city. We were getting a little tired of cruise fare and wanted a good steak. Boy, did we find it! It was my husband's birthday, and we were taken upstairs for our party of 8. We... More

This was our first time visiting El Gaucho with our 16 month old son and it was beyond perfect!!!! He loved listening to the mariachi band playing throughout the restaurant and was enthralled when they played a song just for him. Since the food is so good we had our son sample some of our steak platters, his first time... More
