1st is Madame Janette hands down! Japengo is great. Small, comfy, great service. Mango roll and pad thai are delicious. Go for it!

Miso soup was like swallowing salt water, lighting was very low , squid was gummy and the waiter, who was very accompolished diagnosed the weaknesses before we were able to describe them-

Mediocre, at best, Asian food. Sushi was passable, my "pad Thai" was nothing like pad Thai, more like LoMein. My husband had the "Aruban" coconut cake, tasted just like SaraLee out of the freezer to me.

Went to Cafe Japengo last nite with my wife and kids. We have been regulars at the original in La Jolla for the last 20 years and were jonesing for some sushi while in Aruba. The restaurant was not very crowded and the sushi bar was empty when we were seated. Service was prompt and we must give them credit... More

This restaurant is located at the Hyatt and is connected with two of their other restaurants. We had a very good dinner though it took a while for it come out. Right as you sit down, they bring out rice chips and a sweet and sour dipping sauce. We started with their special appetizer, the dragon roll, which was quite... More

My wife and I ate at Cafe Japengo tonight and found the food quite good. The sushi was fresh and plentiful, the beef dish I had was very good and my wifes shrimp were excellent. The dumplings were so-so and not worth $3.00 let alone $13.00. I would eat there again and would recommend it, skip the dumplings.

We ate here based on reviews of the original Cafe Japengo, but were unhappy with our meal. We ordered two appetizers which sounded completely different on the menu, but which arrived not only looking the same, but tasting the same. A fried item, with an accompanying dipping sauce, which could easily have been duck sauce out of a jar. We... More
