It is what it's advertised to be. A solid fish and steak restaurant. We had fine service, good food with lots of yummy vegetables. Nothing very special, but the price was right and it was not pretentious. Very reliable. more

This place has all the classic signs of a restaurant that does well in spite of itself. Yes, it's packed. Yes, the food is good. But the service is lousy. I felt rushed from the moment I walked in the door. The waiter never made eye contact. Look, you're in Aruba-- and surrounded by delicious seafood options. Don't fall for... more

Driftwood has stumbled on a marketing ploy that is working. We had dinner Thanksgiving week and they were packed, with tourists, even though off season and every other restaurant was suffering. They offer a "special menu" that you have to know about to ask for. You get a three course meal with a good selection for each course for less... more

My husband, myself and a couple of friends spent one week in Aruba - Renaissance Ocean Suites - and we loved this restaurant! The lobster was amazing, so fresh, melt in your mouth, the prawns were enormous, all dishes were delicious, great service, great drinks. The coconut shrimp was very nice. We went there three times during our stay!!! Regarding... more

My husband and I have gone to Aruba 9 times and we love it. The last time we went, we decided to try the Driftwood because the locals raved about it. I got so sick by the time we got back to the Marriott. I had "FOOD POISIONING!!" That says it all!!!!!! more

Had dinner at the Driftwood last night after reading, hearing, and getting a recomendation from the hotel. As another reviewer mentioned, the first thing that came to my mind was Red Lobster, albiet a very expensive Red Lobster. To use a marine term, it seems as though this place was put on auto-pilot a long time ago and the captain... more

The restaurant is located off the beaten path in Oranjestad. We walked so I'm not sure if there is anywhere to park nearby. We go the $25/person 3-course special. The conch fritters and escargot were good, but the cajun shrimp and wahoo were tough and possibly overcooked. The desserts weren't impressive - chocolate cake and banana cake, but they have... more

My husband liked this restaurant a bit more than I did. I had the shrimp pasta and it was good but nothing over the top. My husband had the Wahoo and loved it. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good but not great. Worth a shot for anyone tempted to try it. more

I have been going to Aruba for about 25 years. This is my favorite place. The atmosphere is great, the food is great,(especially the wahoo and the mahi mahi),very friendly workers(The doorman outside always hand rolls me a cig.) Compared to other places the price is very reasonable.I think I paid 17.95 for the wahoo-with potato, corn, and veggie. more

Absolutely the best seafood anywhere. The catch of the day was wahoooooo, and it was great. I had mine done Aruban style and it was superb. Very generous portion and a beautiful presentation. First time I ever had wahoo and now I know that I've been missing something special all of these years. The best part about this place was... more
