1st day in Aruba. Which Restaurant to go to? Let's go "Arubian"! Staying at Ritz Carlton and found out about Gasparito. Got there - were by ourselves in the Restaurant. Extremely nice owner! Welcomed us, explained the house/that they downsized (nice, compared to bigger, faster, ....) .... sitting like in a Dining room in somebodys house, listening to carribean Music... More

Many many years ago had visited this place under previous ownership. Present ownership has scaled down the operation. Menu is limited but food was outstanding. Four of us tasted each others dishes and one was better than the other. Gasparito chicken, shrimp thermidor, keshi yena &shrimp coco was our menu. Prices are reasonable as are the wine prices. Very intimate... More

Although this restaurant has been here for years and has always been excellent, the owner recently told us that he has downsized in retirement; now he as server and his son as chef choose to make only 15-20 dinners per night. The food continues to be amazing as we expected it to be given that it was prepared fresh for... More

My wife and I made reservations at Gasparito based on the great reviews and we couldn't be happier we did. This is a small, family-run restaurant, the owner is your host and waiter, and his son is the chef. Mr. Barros was a perfect host and took time to talk with us and offered a few jokes during dessert. The... More

Simply stated...we asked several local residents where they eat. The owner was our waiter...explained every menu item. My wife, my daughter and I each tried a different dish...each was delicious. I had the Mahi Fish Special...perfect. My daughter tried the Gasparito Chicken and wasn't disappointed. My wife had the Keshi Yena Chicken...different and tasty. And don't miss the chocolate cake!... The food was good but I don't think that we had the greatest food. We were in search of delicious local food and we found better elsewhere. The service was very good. Go early!

Chicken Gasparito, the super secret recipe that keeps me wanting to go back to Gasparito's Restaurant when in Aruba. Delicious entree, friendly owner who greets you at the door and serves you while his son is the chef extraordinaire. We took our friends there and they loved it.

We loved Gasparito--a bit hard to find, especially at night, but not uncommon for Aruba. The food was worth the trip! The owner was our waiter and his son cooks all the food--we had the homemade ravioli (chef recommended), my fiance had goat (he LOVED it!), and I had the mahi mahi (fresh catch). Everything was great--the service, the atmosphere,... More

Every time we come to Aruba we can't leave with out going to Gasparito's at least once. The keshi yena and Gasparito's chicken are must try dishes. If you can get one of the combo meals that features a few dishes that is even better. The owners are lovely people and keep us wanting more!

My friend and I enjoyed an excellent dinner at Gasparito on Saturday, July 19, 2014. The restaurant is also set up as an art gallery and is located in a neighborhood not far from the high rise hotels. I actually felt like I was dining in someone's home. The owner, Dan Barros serves as host and server and his son... More
