Had a bar meal. Very good value for money, cooked and presented well. Good choice of wine by the glass offered by knowledgeable bar staff. Beer good too (apparently!)

I had booked a surprise afternoon tea for a friend after reading about it online. I booked the week before and explained it was for a birthday, and happened to be in there whilst others were enjoying their teas- all looked very promising. The day of the surprise my friend and I arrived at the Blas, to find it filled... More

Nice table- sat overlooking the final hole and the valley looking towards Blackwood. Added to a pleasant evening at an unexpected location. Food was a cut above pub Fayre, but prices were ok.will be going again

We ate here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and although the food was ok, it was not as good as it was when it was Defoy's. Service was very slow and we had to chase the waiter for our dessert after waiting almost 40 minutes. Overall food was ok, but standards have fallen from a few years ago

Expecting a fine dining experience, should have gone to McDonald's! Starters ok. That's where we should have gone home. Ordered the duck, was as black as shoe. Second Donald I couldn't chew! Wife's lamb was cremated. Friend sent her sea bass back because it was more like a pork scratching. Selection of veg must have been straight from the WHOOPS... More

Looking forward to a fine dining meal, would have had better food at McDonald's! Ordered duck, came back blacker than my shoe. Second attempt I couldn't even chew! My friend went for sea bass, looked like a pork scratching! Second wasn't much better. Could even hear the table behind complaining. They shouldn't be allowed to even serve the public. Pathetic.... Was looking forward to 'fine dining'. Don't mind paying price for good quality food but it was at best pub food standard so very over priced. Lovely views in restaurant.
